Shari's

The coffee served to me was fresh and had a distinctive burnt taste and smell. When I asked about it the waitress said that it was fresh and she could get me another cup of the same pot of coffee.

Our food was not very warm, our side of sausage was under cooked and it came out after everyone was already done eating. The amount of the side of sausage was more than what it was worth.

Whoever designed this newly remodeled version of Sharis in Bremerton obviously did not consider comfort, functionality or people who desire more privacy during their meals. The booths have short dividers which is very unnerving for someone with anxiety, the seats are very uncomfortable and the God forbid you're fat, better not sit in a booth- there'd be no room for your girth. The waitstaff was nice enough, but every smile seemed forced. Our food took around 30 minutes to arrive and our salt and pepper shakers were slimed. I left feeling very depressed that an old favorite hangout of mine and my partner's was now a very uncomfortable place to be. It made me very sad. We told the waitress about our concerns and she told me to write a review. So here it is. I am hoping that it will make a difference. Thanks for your time!

The Denver omelette portion was small for the price, compared to other local restaurants. The peppers were basically raw, there were hardly any onions, maybe there were some tiny chunks of ham, it was hard to find them, the food arrived tepid at best and the cheese was not melted, inside or on top. The beverage choices were paltry. No buttermilk, no grapefruit juice. The tomato juice I ordered was not good quality -- it was watery rather than thick and fruity. My wife thought her eggs and pancakes were warm and just fine.

The server seated us and took drink order, she never returned. Another server stopped and asked if drink order taken, replied yes. We waited. The second server came back again and took drink order. She returned with drinks then first server came and took our food order. It seemed to take a long time for order then it was came everything on the plate was cold except country fried steak. The toast was cold and soft and egg whites not fully cooked. I ordered crispy hash browns, they were not crispy and were cold. When server finally came back she offered to reorder but I said reorder hash owns only. I don't ever mind waiting extra for my food but it better be hot and correct. I was only able to eat the steak, one piece of toast and half of hash browns. Waste of good money on that.

Aside from the fact that it took a unreasonable amount of time to receive our food even though there were barely any other diners my BBQ bacon cheeseburger was HORRIBLE!! It was charred and completely overcooked, cold, the cheese was completely melted and must have been left on the grill, there was no bbq sauce and I had to ask for some. My fries were also cold so I can only assume that my food was done but they had not made my grandsons food, his was semi-warm. The waitress would have had to have known/noticed this so should not have served us this food. I tried eating the burger and forced myself to eat half because I was hungry but that was enough. I asked to speak with the manager and he took that meal off of my bill and acted like he was doing me a favor. That is the worse service I feel from a manager. He offers to remove the charge from a meal his restaurant cooked that was basically inedible and offered nothing like maybe a free meal next time, maybe pie for my grandson and i...NOTHING!!! He should have offered a free meal for the future, piece of pie...something. I have much more to say but you limit us to few words.

The steak we ordered was extremely over salted. It was not possible to eat. It's now over 4 hours later, and I can still feel the salted feeling on my tounge. In addition to this, it took an extremely long time to receive our order

The server shauntel at the Bremerton location wasn’t very friendly. She came over one time after finally bring our food out to us. She didn’t ask if we wanted desert or anything of the sort. She brought out bill and walked away like she didn’t want my kids and I there.

I ordered White toast. The toast was a little dark on the top and when I turned it over it was all black burned. The waitress didn't come back to check on me until the end of the meal and I asked her to send it back to the cook to let him know that he's sending out burned toast. She told me that it was a team effort, so she let it come to me knowing it was burned. And then she told me the cook was busy but the café was nearly empty. Very disappointed to be confronted with argumentative staff.

The food was cold. I tried a few bites, but just couldn't eat it, so I had to move it all to a plate and heat it up. The portions were very small compared to what I've had at Shari's in the past. I received ham, potatoes & gravy, stuffing, veg, and sweet potatoes, which were very good, just very small portions. There was no cranberry sauce and no roll. The ham was dry and some of the pieces had dark, curled edges indicating it had been sitting for a while without moisture. The pie was not layered pumpkin, just plain pumpkin, which they specifically asked me when I ordered. If they had run out that's fine, I just would have appreciated them telling me. The soup was not potato, it was squash, which I don't like. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with Shari's. I know they were very busy today, but I didn't pay this much money (which is a lot for me) as well as a generous tip for such an inadequate and mistake-riden experience, especially on a holiday. I will say, the employees, though very busy, were very polite, helpful, and professional. It was not the fault of the waitress on my ticket as she was very nice. There were several people working on orders.
