I have a Shari's Cafe Club card, and give a review every time I have been in, everyone of thee reviews have been very complimentary. Today I ordered on the phone for pickup and when I was there I gave the cashier a previous receipt that was well worn and most of the printing had disappeared. The cashier told me she could not accept it because it was probably expired even though the validation code was written in ink and was very legible. I told her there is nothing about an expiration date on the receipt. Rather than argue too much, I gave her 2 other validation code receipts and was told I could only use one. Again, there is nothing on the receipt that says I can only use one validation code. Overall, not a good experience. Either better training should be done at the restaurant or your restrictions should be posted on the receipt. Biscuits Cafe is only about 6 blocks from Sharis and is looking better to me now.

I've eaten at a lot of Shari's and this was the slowest poorest service I've EVER had..enough said.

We have been customers of Shari's for a very long time this year the food has not been up to par for quality as it has in the past. I ordered the sirloin steak, asked for it to be cooked medium rare. It came over-cooked, well-done and was only half of what I usually get. Now, I don't always like a lot of meat, but this was less than 1/2 inch thick and had a lot of grissel, and was very hard to chew. I told waitress about it and she said "I'll see what I can do." When the bill came, it was for full price. When I went to pay, the girl took $l.00 off, plus $4.00 for a coupon I had. Does not matter what time of day I go there, the service is always slow. Hope they will get things worked. In the meantime, we will be taking a break.

No straws offered with drinks; went to station and picked up straws myself. Ketchup bottle was not clean; liquid brown substance oozing from cap. Very slow delivery of food for order for 5 of us; took 25 minutes; restaurant not busy. Server never came by to check on us until after food was served; water not refilled; curt and rather unpleasant server. Person who ultimately delivered food was polite and efficient.

I came in after 11pm on a Friday. The waitress said they were out of sirloin so I ordered a New York Strip steak. Then the waitress came back (much later) and said they were out of baked potatoes and offered to have one microwaved or substitute fries or mashed potatoes. She said it would take 5 minutes so I told her I wanted a baked potato. It was way more than 5 minutes when she came back with a baked potato that was hard as a rock. The lady in the booth behind me had ordered the very same meal and she said her baked potato was hard too. So the waitress took our potatoes and said she would be back in 5 minutes. I ate my steak and onion rings. The steak was not even warm. The waitress was again gone for way more than 5 minutes and when she finally brought my potato, I ate it for "desert". 3 of us stopped at this same restaurant the Friday before. It was about 7:30pm. They were already out of sirloin. We ordered T-Bone steak dinners and you would expect this cut of meat to be tender but it was not. My granddaughter could not even cut her steak with a steak knife and she ended up eating it with her fingers! We did not finish our steak since it was so tough.

There were ants crawling on our table. They told us they would "take care of it" but apparently they meant after we ate and left. It made the dining experience less than satisfactory as we ate and squished ants with the stack of napkins we were given.

Over easy eggs small and overcooked. Price was $4.00 more than I paid for the same order at a different Shari's. I was charged for a combination including meat when I am a vegetarian and told my side orders would have amounted to more.

Upon arrival, the waitress did not greet us nor did she smile, she said "hey" and lead us to a table. We sat ourselves down while the waitress stopped and visited with some elderly customers and we sat an waited for a few minutes until she finally came over and gave us our menus (we did make a comment while she was visiting that we felt that we were not important enough for her to take care of us first). The waitress walked away from my husband before he was done giving his order, I did not receive the tea I asked for (I asked for Herbal Tea and she brought me regular and made a comment about this, she never acknowledged my comment). After we received our order, we never saw our waitress again, yet she went to other tables and visited with them. The shrimp omelet and hash browns were both undercooked and tasted awful, the omelet looked more like scrambled eggs than an omelet and the shrimp in the omelet still had the tails on. We had to go up front to see how much our bill was due to the fact that we never received a bill from our waitress. We did talk briefly with the manager but were to upset to go into detail. She stated that she would "talk with her and find out what happened"

Totally ignored when arrived. Finally seated by Anaid who acted perturbed to have to deal with us. She took drink order and eventually returned (at least 10 min) to take order. we were ready to leave. Once again, she was unpleasant with sour look on her face. Took at least 25-30 min to get food...again I was standing up to leave. Server did not bring our food, someone else did. Server NEVER checked back to see if needed anything, etc. Keep in mind I was with my 4 yr old grandaughter and we needed extra napkins, etc.Waited for check which was NEVER brought to us so I went to front desk to pay. Anaid did show up then to take our $$....regretfully I included a gratuity because service was abominable!!! All the server did was take our order and my money...all the time acting disgusted that she was expected to do this. I used to live very close to this restaurant and was shocked at my experience. Also FYI -- it was noon and restaurant was NOT busy...perhaps my exoerience tells you why. Also, I have NEVER filed a formal negative complaint of a restaurant ever...but this one was too blatant to ignore. I hope you can fix it!!!

We arrived for daughters birthday; Kids LOVE the baked potato soup and this is the main reason we come; When we arrived the place was empty with 2 waitresses and what seemed to be a shift mgr. Initial service was fine and quick; Seating was quick and placed order; However the menu has apparently changed and Baked Potato soup is now only served on Monday. The waitress didn't know this and came back to let us know. They did attempt to see if they could make it which was appreciated, but it apparently was frozen and wasn't able to so had to order something else; The timing of the food delivery wasn't adjusted, my husband and I got our food about 10 min before kids, I waited for them to get their food before eating, which made my sandwich cold; In the mean time one waitress went home and about 5 tables filled up for the 1 remaining waitress; Needless to say, we got no additional service after that, no refills, we had pie coming and waited about 15 min with empty plates with no one even giving us eye contact; the manager wasn't helping the waitress out, and also ignored us, I finally waive him down and he got pie to go and the bill, which was incorrect and a little attitude.
