Shari's

I prefer to go to Shari's for breakfast over Denny's and Elmer's whenever I'm in Woodburn. I really like the coffee and the atmosphere, and I'm always happy with my meal. Though my food came pretty quick I noticed it wasn't warm enough to entirely melt the butter on my french toast. It was good but it couldn't have been a bit hotter. Again, I'm not usually disappointed with me my meals at Shari's it just happened to be an off day.

Water served without ice. WAitress said she thought we'd asked for no ice.Asked for sour cream on hash browns. Didn't get it, but wasn't charged either. WAitress seemed to be distracted. Didn't seem overly " in the moment. "

Absolutely disgusted with how your managers treated your staff. Absolutely. Disgusted. To watch managers belittle and verbally degrade their "team" members for not knowing something (WHEN IT IS MANAGEMENT'S JOB TO TRAIN THEM) is not worth my meal. If this is how your Manager's treat staff in front of customers I cannot imagine how the rest of the staff are treated without customers present. My server's name was Mariah- not a manager - and she made sure we had everything we needed, with a smile, while she was harassed by her manager because I ordered a beer. If it is Sharis policy to have management take alcohol orders, how was that Mariah fault---it's not. She was doing her job. To watch another manager rip the coupon from Mariah's hand after she asked for assistance ringing up the coupon because once again management didn't train her. Absolutely disgusted. My meal is NOT WORTH degrading another person. Shame on your manager's and shame on Sharis for letting it get this toxic.

I asked the waitress to give me a reasonable portion size of my food and I ended up not getting much at all. I am still hungry which is why I am filling this out to get a free appetizer. Overall the waitress was nice :-)

The dinner salad was nothing more then a pile of lettuce with 1 grape tomato and 2 slice's of cucumber, to spend $10.49 on a cheeseburger you,I would expect more then what I received.

This visit was unusual in that generally speaking in the past the quality and temperature of the food as well as the service has been excellent. For some reason the food was not up to those standards. The Prime Rib sandwich meat was very tough and difficult to chew and the Crispy Chicken BLT was not nearly as good as it usually is and the portions seemed to be smaller as well. The server offered to have the cook remake the prime rib sandwich but by that time it was too late. The server did not charge for one soft drink as a way to make up for the disappointment in the food.

We overheard that the cook had left on his break and had not returned. There was no communication about this issue to us directly for over 40 minutes until we asked our server. The staff was hurried and brusk with customers and visibly distraught. Additionally, we observed improper kitchen decorum including no hair nets, food dropped on counter returned to a plate, and worker on cell phone while cooking and holding phone in shirt.

We always have wonderful service and everthing goes well when Angela waits on us at the Woodburn Shari's. the other server was very attentive and nice but the food took forever (over an hour and they were not unusually busy) and then three of the orders were cold (and the last one came about five minutes after the other three were served).

Very slow service. Waitress made faces when I wanted stuffed hash browns instead of macaroni and cheese. Biscuit was over baked and not replaced. They were out of baked potatoes. I over heard waitress tell customer they did not have Swiss cheese and management went to buy some.

they only had one waitress and a fill in for the manager. If you only place one cook and one waitress during business hours how can one expect good service. We have waited 40 minutes to receive our ordered food but knew if we left we have to wait again but not anywhere as long as Shari's.
