Dirty, poor service, cold and dry food.

We kept asking the waitperson for a place setting, water, extra napkins, etc etc etc... too over 4 to 6 times to get what we asked for. There were only 3 other tables with people yet it took her over 15 mins to even get to us. Asked questions about the new items and she had to keep running back to the kitchen to ask and then would get side tracked without coming back. When we went to order pie - she was kinda rude - stating that it wasn't free because the order was taken at 3:50PM - and put the ticket back down - then left. I tried several times to get her attention and all she kept doing was I'll be with you.... We gave up and just ate what came since it had taken so long.... There were other wait people in the area but all they did was stand around without helping. People who came in after us got their orders sooner than we did even tho they ordered hamburgers/fries/eggs....

Short handed on waitresses. Food very unattractive, cold and tasteless. The chef seemed to not know how to prepare the dinner with appeal or include the items that were missing. The mashed potatoes were just plain cold.

It took them to long to get anyone to help us and when placed our order it took forever to get our food and then the food was cold and my toast was burnt, my wife's butter on her toast would not melt the butter it wa cold

Where to start! New menu deleted the items we usually order. Our "free" pie now costs a dollar. Coffee pot on table was filthy, Ordered steak & scampi, didn't get the scampi. Asked waitress and she reordered it but it didn't come until the rest of the meal was almost done. But the worst was the workmen who insisted on putting up a ladder next to our booth in order to paint something on the ceiling! We asked them to wait until we were finished eating and were told they'd just be a minute and proceeded to set it up and paint. We left at that point. We will never return unless it's to use our points to buy pies for the holidays.

Ordered omelet, no toast, said I was gluten free. Server (Shannon) brought my order with my friends toast on it, said they'd made a mistake and smiled about it. My friend moved her toast and jam from my plate to hers. Left crumbs of toast & crust on my plate. Didn't bring salsa I'd ordered; when I asked for it she replied in a snippy way that she only had 2 hands. Asked for mgr. We explained the problem, also that the hash browns were cold; she offered to have food refixed but we were on a timeline and told her we had waited for 40 mins. although the restaurant was not crowded & we'd seen 2 tables seated, served breakfast and left before we received our food. I said I'd eat the food on the side where the toast crumbs were not near and asked for a discount because neither of us were not going to be able to eat our entire order because of the gluten problem and the temperature and she refused. She said she had offered to replace our food. When she was leaving I told my friend that she was as snippy as the server and she immediately came back and said we could tone it down or leave. I was not yelling. I did buy a pie for a friend who is not gluten free but will not go there again.

I normally go to the fabulous Kent Shari's; this Shari's was horrid. Waitress took our orders, got them wrong, had to re-ask what 1 of us wanted, as she couldn't read her writing. 2 of us ordered the 'trio'.....both quiches were cold, they had to be put into the microwave to reheat. We were given someone else's check, she told us we were incorrect...no, I did not eat $30 worth of lunch by myself. we tried to order our pie; she told one of us that we didn't order the 'trio'...we explained that 2/3 of us ordered the trio....'no you didn't'....'fine, I'l just get you the pie'..........she ordered lemon Meringue pie to go, as part of her 'trio'......she stated this twice. It was served on a plate, not packed in a to go box.......and the manager, when we asked about senior discount was rude, and huffy when questioned when senior discount had ended........this was a horrid representative of a Great chain of restaurants!

This Shari's has been remodeled and is beautiful. Since remodel, service has been awful. We believe this Shari's has terrible management. The waiters are required to run all over doing other things. Not enough staff. Today we were told they were OUT OF salad!! We heard they were OUT OF large straws for milkshakes. That has happened to us in the past. We believe this Shari's either needs NEW MANAGEMENT OR NEW OWNER--however that works. We have gone to this Shari's forever but since they remodeled it has gotten so bad we will not return there for a long time. Maybe next year we will return to see if it has improved.
