Shari's

Long wait at register. Understaffed. Customers complaining. Tables not cleared. Had to wait for table, wait to pay and wait for lottery payout.

The flavor of the three berry pie was disappointing. Not very flavorful.

I am and have always been highly satisfied with Shari's.....until they put one in Roseburg. Here in the valley we try to stay with family owned because, although the chain restaurants start out satisfactory, it does not take long for the quality of the food and service to suffer. It seems the managers are more interested in saving money and going on the chain reputation than they are in serving quality food or having quality people cooking and serving the food. We love the Shari's in both Eugene and Kelso.

Personal conversations of the staff is very evident in the dining area. Not annoying, but detracts from atmosphere.

Lack of attention to lottery. No drinks offered. Having to wait on cashing out of tickets.

Omelet was brown--heat used to cook it was too high. Also dry.

The english muffin was soft and not toasted. Too spongy and not crispy. Kind of soggy. Made the taste of the eggs benedict bad.

We were not dissatisfied, but it seems that during our past visits the servers have been more cheerful or friendly. Our server, James, was nice and appeared to do his job well. He did not do anything wrong, but it just wasn't that cozy, friendly, home feeling we are used to at Shari's. No complaints at all. Just no fanfare either.

Due to the slot machines being present in the restraint it attracts a very poor group of people. Not particularly the type of people I'd like to be around specially when dinning

Shari's is open late which is great because everything closes around 8. the food is good
