Shari's

Server did not seen to be happy that she was working this evening--- Server did not seem to be wanting to work this evening--Friday. Very "short" and wasn't cheerful about being asked to explain certain things. Cash out young man VERY confused about ringing up the ticket.

The food was not HOT The dinner roll was not completely baked, it was doughy inside. The food had great flavor.

A portion of the food was tough and appeared to be over cooked. Food seems to be inconsistent in what to expect.

I ordered a cup of the baked potato soup and a toasted sesame salad. The lettuce in the salad was brown and there were hunks of the core. The lettuce that was green was wilted.

Waitress forgot to bring milkshake. I had to grab silverware and napkins from another table. She never came back to refill my teapot. Asked for ketchup and had to wait a while, meanwhile onion rings got cold. Ended up asking another server for help. It was NOT busy so hate to think what would have happened if more people came to eat. We had 2 three year olds with us and you've got only so much time to keep their attention spans..... big fail by Shari's this week (we usually come every week on Saturdays, but now we may have to rethink that). Hopefully she was just having a bad day and we won't have to deal with all this next time.

I came to pick up a pie. I was acknowledged, then the staff disappeared. Another staff walked by, I asked if I could pie a pie. They were not friendly at all. Took my payment, then just stared at me. I asked if I could get the pie. She turned around, got the pie and gave it to me. Wow, how untrained or inept.

The servers were very friendly & pleasant. I ordered the soup,sandwich&pie combo. Chose the grilled 4 cheese sandwich on white bread. I also asked to have sliced tomato on it. Waitress told me that they used to have tomato automatically but now it was extra. I was fine with that. I received a chicken/cranberry salad sandwich on stale wheat bread. I didn't complain & ate the part of it that wasn't hard. I had also placed an order to go: Oreo milkshake & chicken Caesar salad. My server had half made the shake & forgot about it. The Caesar salad hadn't been made to go yet. She packed the salad in a bag with no napkins or plastic ware. This happened at 3;30 PM so it was not busy with customers. I mentioned to my server when I paid my $27.46 check that I hadn't received the correct sandwich. Her response was to blame another server for that mistake. Even with such unprofessional service I gave a generous $5.00 tip.

On a previous visit we were seated then ignored by staff. We went to a different restaurant. We are Shari's Club members and expect good service. Tonight we requested water and our server ignored us. Finally another server noticed and came over. It is unlikely we will return to this Shari's in the near future. This restaurant is severely understaffed and it affects service.

The cook took a very long time to prepare our order. My plate was dripping with grease. Two of my items were forgoten. My husbands was served a plate with one item way under cooked and another burnt to a crisp as well as a puddle of grease on his plate also.

We arrived to a rude hostess who looked at us and then walked away after a rude comment. The manager was watching this whole thing and said nothing and he also did not help us. We proceeded to wait 10 minutes for someone to come help us purchase a pie. Once 6 employees and a manager walked by, a waitress from the other side ran over and said sorry no one helped you what can I do.
