Shari's

Nothing special. Just routine.

The last time we dined in at Sharis it was very noisy and the floor was very dirty (someone with cowboy boots had previously sat at our table and left barnyard dirt on the floor). Due to that and with the new remodeling leaving no booths available for more privacy, we have decided to no longer dine in at Sharis.

The coffee is too strong. We needed to use creamers and suger in order to drink it.

Granted, it was Mother's Day and they were slammed. Apparently they called our name (maybe once?) and we missed it, although we were seated by the door and were listening for it. We had moved to the bench inside the side door just to be out of the way of the crowd at the entrance. When several others were seated before us, I checked on the list and discovered the mistake and saw our name crossed off way up the list. One of the girls wrote our name back in and said we'd be soon, but we believe more new people were still seated before us. When another couple was called who we KNEW had barely arrived, we jumped up and they realized their mistake. (The new couple knew it too and didn't object.) But no one even apologized at all. After that things were fine. Like I said, they were really busy, and they had about three people working off the list.

They have stopped offering Loaded Baked Potato soup as a regular item. It's only offered on Monday.

The food and service was good and I will eat there again. But it was'nt the best food I've ever eaten.

I ordered a turkey burger and asked for no tomatoes they put tomatoes on the waitress took it to have them removed and the cook took his bare hand to remove the tomatoes no glove or anything. This grossed me out .

A little skimpy on portion of food. Waitress not very attentive.

Again, this is Roseburg, Oregon, the crowd there, it was packed, the Shari's employees were working very hard. I have run large Organizations, they were doing well.

The waitress asked how I wanted my burger, with or without pink. I cleared stated "No pink." The cook did not cook it well-done. I didn't complain as I don't like to make a scene. I ate a few bites and took it home to feed the neighbor's dog. He won't complain either :). I should have said something...but I didn't. I thought I could suffer through it but it was just too pink.
