On this visit I had two guests with me. Only one was "somewhat" satisfied with their meal: My steak was ordered med. Came out well done. Waitress did all she could to rectify the problem. One other order was not edible. I was given another steak which I took home. Took over 1/2 hour to receive meals. I answer these surveys now and then hoping they help you. I live very close to this establishment and would like to continue to do so. My daughter suggested I "find someplace else to eat." Sorry.

We are long time Shari's customers. Somehow, this particular store has had a downfall. The food quality has slowly but surely gone downhill over the past 2 yrs. or so. In particular, the last 4 meals we ordered were almost sub-standard considering that the food was always good, hot and fresh. This applies to the Roseburg Or restaurant only, We have not had the opportunity to visit other locations for some time. On this occasion service was slow although they were not that busy. Waitress forgot the bread and by the time we got it we were halfway through our meal. Just a little short on service this day.

The remodel of this location is very nice. The wait staff are doing a good job, but there is a problem in the kitchen. We ordered the Friday special Prime Rib (pink) which came to us bland brown and cold. The vegetables and onion rings were nice and warm but not the meat. I thought about sending it back for a more rare piece but heard the waitress tell a couple behind us (who also had trouble with their prime ribs) that according to the cook, there were no rare pieces left. This was at 5:00pm...only an hour after the special is offered from 4:00 to 9:00pm. Based on the lack of moisture, the color and temperature of this meat, these portions were not just sliced off a roast, but warmed up from refrigerated pieces and is why they could not offer rare or hot cuts as they would all be over done!

My boyfriend and I have been to this location twice within a week of each visit. Both times it took an extended amount of time to be greeted and then sat. This last visit, it was probably 10 minutes or more, before our waitress came to take our order. My boyfriend ordered milk with his pie. She forgot to bring it, so he reminded her. He was done with his pie, before she returned with the milk. So he ordered a second piece. She didn't even apologize for the extended time it was taking her.

Food was not served like I ordered it. I ordered eggs scrambled and hashbrowns. Iwas served over easy eggs and potato cakes and my toast came burned. My food was taken back and prepared the right way. By the time I got my food back, My husband had already eaten his. My toast was returned to me after I had finished my meal. The manager did offer to take my meal off the ticket but I told her no because I did eat my meal after it was prepared right. We eat at Sharis quite often but never had this problem.

Service extremely slow, scrambled eggs were overcooked and cold, pancake was overcooked. Waitress summoned the manager and he listened to our complaint............ he offered us another pancake. We have eaten here numerous times over the years and never had this type of problem. We were told the breakfast cook and the dinner cook had switched shifts - maybe that was the problem ??

This was our second visit and the experience was similar in terms of the attentiveness of the staff needing to be improved. The first time we chalked it up to perhaps arriving at a "shift change" in the staff, but this time, we arrived later, and the restaurant was not even half full. Our waitress may have been at the mercy of the chef, however our entrees arrived when we were not even halfway finished with our salads. Then my husband's entree was not hot, so he had to take it over to the counter near the kitchen to ask for it to be reheated. It then took at least 10 minutes for the food to be returned, at which point I had finished my entree. We kept wondering why it would take so long to reheat an order. It was proper temperature once it was returned but took way too long to be reserved. The waitress noticed his drink needed to be refilled and it took about 5 minutes or more for her to return with a filled drink. This kind of delay in service and lack of attention seems to be a managerial problem and we do not plan to return to this location, however we will visit other Shari's in the future. The last time the waitress apologized for the delays but this time, no one noticed.

Waitress did not write anything down for our order. Asked us at another time what we wanted to drink and we told her. Our order came out and I had to ask for my side salad that was one of my sides. We still had not received our drinks. We were just about done with our dinner when my husband asked about our drinks. I ordered water at that time instead of Diet Pepsi since we were finished. He ordered Sierra mist. Kate brought our drinks and must have said something to our waitress because she came over at that time. We eat at this store at least 4 times a week and are well known by most of the waitress, some by name.
