Special trip to meet friends - usually go to different Shari's. First time ordered NW Steak Salad it was FABULOUS!!! Every since it has not been very good. Today salad was wilted from hot meat put on it and meat was well done (brown) not medium (reddish pink) as I ordered; meat tough to cut. Had me give meat back & brought new; that was very good. But wilted and not great taste. I think I'll give up on this item -- too bad.

Upon our arrival, our waitress said FRESH STRAWBERRIES are here. Because of that statement and the pictures on the menu, i ordered a strawberry waffle. When the waffle arrived there were NO FRESH STRAWBERRIES. The berries were soggy and old!!! I was truly dissatisfied! I was going to complain but figured i would get the same berries on the next waffle, so why waste it. I mentioned the issue to the cashier and she got the manager. I explained the issue FRESH vs SOGGY(canned?) to the manager, she said well did you send it back. I shouldn't have to argue with the manager. I said wouldn't i get the same berries i was given the first time. She said no, we have both kinds of strawberries fresh and mixed(frozen). Your menu and my server says FRESH strawberries. Which is it. Canned or Fresh? Plus, My husbands hash brown portion was the size of a child's. What's with that?

Entered only 2 other booths with customers. Asked for booth by window husband hates to sit by bathrooms and lottery corner. Was told we could not she was only waitress and has to stay by the lottery they do not want her back and fourth(manager was there also)

As we entered, the manager was talking to a lady at the front register and totally ignored us and another gentleman who came in after us. After about 5 min the only waitress we could see came up behind him and said "Have you all been helped" I said "No, none of us have" and there was still no response from the manager. Then while looking disgusted she seated us, didn't bring the requested high chair, and left. We waited at least another 10 min and were just talking about leaving when the waiter showed up. Jose was very nice but totally overwhelmed with the lack of people working. We saw him serving our whole area, a few tables on the other side and the lottery area, where he would disappear for long periods. He did apologize for being gone saying so many people were winning their lottery games and he had to pay them out. It was during one of these periods that we waited a long time for our check. As far as we could tell there was only one other waitress (the grouchy one who seated us) and no one else. The manager was worthless. Don't know if we'll ever return to this Shari's. Too bad because it's the closest one to our home.

We have gone there a few times to gamble and eat. Our previous visits have been great. But on this visit we were ignored.I finally went up to the fron to get menus and a few workers were just standing around talking and didnt even say anything to me. Mind you my Husband had already been there for half and hour gambling. Any ways I got our menues went back to my table. Still no one came. I finally went up to the front and asked someone if we could get something to drink and order some food. The waitress said Oh I dint see you come in. (Really). We finally got our order and drinks. Didnt see a whole lot of the waitress.Dinner was great. We gambled some more and paid our bill and left.

Ordered pancakes with no butter - came with butter - when food was returned it was cold/hash brown portion was small and cold/look like one plate had been stirred around/did not time how long the order took, but it had to be close to 30 minutes/eggs were cold

Service was very slow and the restaurant wasn't crowded. I don't know if the problem was the were understaffed. It took a long time to get waited on and then it took a long time to get our check. Water was refilled. My husbands chicken fried steak was so overlooked he couldn't eat it.

Coffee cold and old and not fresh the first time, and second time was cold also. Had to ask for condiments for table, catsup for chips and asked for shrimp condiments also, for fish chips and shrimp. The potato soup was also old and burnt , the split pea soup could have been warmer.

my sons order was wrong even though i explained in detail to have it plain the food came out at seperate times we didnt eat together our server basically refused to cash us out we had to wait for 2 other servers to help us one of which was extremely busy and the other was standing around with pur server doing nothing

Took 10 min to be seated. 35 for food to arrive. Had to ask for check. Total time for breakfast 1hr. We had 3 waiters during our stay. One told us they were not charging for coffee. He offered that he didn't know why it was taking so long. I don't think it was the waiters fault but they couldn't get our food out. We didn't complain but it was unacceptable and we wanted you to know.
