My steak was overcooked, but unfortunately did not notice until too late: the first bite was cooked right and that was what I ate first...I went on to other things and did not cut into it again...came back to it and yikes... I should have said something. Was charged a dollar for hot water and not offered a refill. Senior dinners should come with soup or salad for the price charged. Pot roast was tough. BUT WONDERFUL< WONDERFUL was the staff!!!! Very kind and excellent greeter also!

I had to be on a conference call, then had to get to work. At my request, I was seated "where it was quieter"...so I was a bit away from other patrons, but the music was very loud. I waited to have my order taken. It took forever to get my food, even though there were hardly any other patrons in the restaurant. My waiter didn't bring my food, a girl finally did...and plopped my plates on the table (did ask if I needed any sauces) but didn't even notice that my water was empty or offer to fill it. I only saw my waiter one time, he did fill my water, but I had to go to the front to pay without receiving my check.

I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs with hash browns and pancakes. The chicken fried steak was tiny. The price was in the range of $13 for a chicken fried steak the size of a mc chicken sandwich from McDonalds. I'll take price gouging or reduction in portion, not both. Breakfast is not that expensive to make. I feel ripped off and I understand why your menu creators don't put a picture of the chicken fried steak on the menu because customers would not order it in the first place. Also I paid $10 for 2 mac and cheese for my kids that I know for a fact was maybe >$.50 each in materials to make. Your price gouging will be the end of your restaurant and going forward have a very hard time justifying a return visit. The service was great and restaurant clean. $35 for 2 kids and a couple of adults? This is not a survivable business model.

When my son went in to purchase a whole pie there was no one to greet him. He said he had to find the cook to serve him at the cash register. Pie was rung up by a woman, red hair, slim, about 40 years old. She asked my son if he was going to give her a tip. This is unacceptable.

It took a long time to receive our food and when we did, it was not hot. We both ordered the same thing - prime rib, cooked medium. One portion was very thin and overcooked. The other was thick and bloody. Server never came back to check on our table. When she finally did, she asked if we wanted pie and we said no, just the check. Took her another 10 minutes to bring the check!

I ordered my favorite dish the Western Steak Salad. The steak was ordered medium rare but it was overcooked and cold. The salad portion was somewhat wilted as if it had all been sitting around somewhere. The pita bread was charred to almost burned. I was hungry and even though the waiter offered to "heat it up" which is totally unacceptable with a steak, or re-do the order, I declined as my partner had already started eating his meal and I did not want to wait any longer. This is the second time I have eaten at this Sharis and the food was not well prepared. I will go back but I will make sure they understand what is acceptable. I like my meal to be hot.

Coffee was served in a less than clean cup, and the coffee carafe that came to the table was filthy and looked like it had never been washed. The over-table light fixture was filthy; it looked like the glass had never been washed and the brass fixture was covered with either fingerprints or food particles.

The new menu was not organized nor easy to read. The prices are now outrageous for a simple breakfast. In our area, there are many breakfast places, most more reasonably priced and with better tasting food.

Have expressed in prior comments. In addition the area around where I sat was dirty. Excessive debris on the carpet around me.
