Hand and Stone

For the amount you pay you should be able to get a hot stone massage or deep tissue. Thinking of cancelling due to other companies having lower rates for higher value services

Don't understand why there was a sink in the room. It was very clinical feeling. I asked to upgrade my massage to a hot stone session but was told my therapist was not certified and was not offered a option.

I was having a break out and I was hoping my the facial would do a better job at clearing up my skin.

I am very pleased each and every time I have been to Hand and Stone of Ocean Township.

Hard to get an appointment.

When I initially called to schedule my massage, I immediately asked for the manager Ava. I was directly by ava to ask for her directly when scheduling my next appointment as she would be scheduling it after a problem with my previous facial. The front desk (Julia or Julie) asked why I need the manager and further stated she can handle the booking. I told her I'd like to contact Ava directly however I asked if she heard me correctly and she then hung up on me. It was a terrible experience. I called the next day and was easily connected with Ava whom quickly, efficiently and kindly scheduled my massage. There seem to be issues with boundaries at this location, the front desk worker was rude and out of line. I am hesitant to return although my massage therapist is outstanding, I've used her twice now!

Anthony (awesome therapist) was not available for my last visit. Yves was lovely but I specifically requested to do my back/neck due to excessive stress that week and calves/feet because I wear heels all day long. While he did focus on my back (+ accommodated pressure requests) he moved to a "whole body" massage w/ little focus on the calves and perhaps 30 seconds on each foot. It was like he didn't know how to give a foot massage. He moved to my arms I said to please not do my arms and address my neck like I wanted. He did as requested but it was certainly not the massage I asked for when I came in. I was trying to relax and didn't feel like directing him throughout when I made a request clear in the beginning. To be honest, it felt like he was new and was trained to do certain "moves" for a certain amount of time w/out knowing how to be flexible. That being said- I'm not displeased with this location. I know I will only book with a known therapist. This was an additional massage to my package and was not worth spending the money, unfortunately.
