Hand and Stone

After the massage the massage therapist (Becky) never came back. When I walked out of the room no one was there to give me a cup of water. My friend also got a massage in the next room and her massage therapist was waiting on her with a cup of water and told her to stay hydrated and to have a nice day. I walked my self out. I was not given any water, I was not told to stay hydrated and the massage therapist never said anything else to me. I thought it was kinda odd that she could not take the time to properly make sure I was even ok. I was sitting out in the lobby when she came out to get her next client and she never said anything to me. I was a little upset with the situation. I am signed on for the year membership so I will be back but I will not use Becky again.

My experience was a good one. I had a facial with Tina who was excellent! I came there because I was given a gift card and the service received was delightful. The only thing I didn't care for was having to hear the conversations with every guest that came in the door, with every phone call they made and with them talking amongst themselves about co worker issues etc. The girls made me feel welcomed for sure. They had cookies made for Valentines day however they should have been covered with Saran wrap. No body was eating them because they were on a dish exposed to germs, people walking by with coats on hitting the table where cookies were. It just didn't look sanitary enough for me even though the cookies did look good.

The massage therapist was newer, not very knowledgeable

My appointment began 10 minutes late. I believe the gentleman who did my massage was new and forgot some steps in the process. He did correct his mistake half way through the experience and his massage was good.

Although the receptionist did try and call to inform me that my appointment was running behind, (about 1/2 an hour) and I was in no rush and did not mind waiting, the esthetician was very rushed and noticeably stressed. I hope things were ok but I would have rather rescheduled than felt that I was holding her up or causing her to be more running farther behind. I've never had a problem before with any other massages therapists or esthetician at this location and will continue my membership but I will avoid that particular one.

When I asked the therapist whether he did specific modalities he said yes and then added reflexology although I wasn't aware that there was an extra charge for that so I left with a bit of sticker shock. The receptionist was very proactive, however, and had the store manager call me as I was leaving the parking lot and she offered me a free upgrade on a subsequent visit. It wasn't clear to me what a basic massage included as therapists I've used in the past have always included different modalities within the cost of the massage.

I was overall happy with my experience at Hand and Stone. I will definitely be back! The only thing that I would change would be to not try to sell and overly promote products during the experience, facial, massage etc. it took away from the relaxing atmosphere.

It took a long time to get waxed and while I appreciated her diligence it was just a little too long. She waxed over a few areas more than once which I hear is not good for the skin. Also she did not wax part of areas and plucked which I could have done at home. She was very nice though

No discussion on how to resolve issues with my problem skin... ingrown hair and breakouts. No discussion of products. Estetician left the room in a hurry and never offered any solutions.
