Hand and Stone

I deal with a lot of muscular pain. Liz, my massage therapist, always gives me a great relaxing deep tissue massage. The receptionist are always warm and friendly when I arrive. I highly recommend Hand & Stone for a great massage.

The reception staff greets me by name every time I visit and they take an interest in how I'm doing. The therapist, Garland, remembers my areas of concern and my preferred pressure every time. Very warm and welcoming!

I have found all therapists are very good, but occasionally one will move my arm in a such a way that I fear my breast might pop out. Fortunately, I use a woman therapist, so not a big deal, but still -- it makes me tense up to have my arm pulled back, thinking I'm about to play peekaboo. :-) In general, what makes me rate a therapist as excellent is the extent to which I connect with her personally. If I connect with that person, I think I also get a better massage. It's just chemistry thing: Some people you're just more in tune with. I have my favorite two people for sure. One of them left this location (Brittany Henry, who was excellent), but I have two others I like very much: Cassie and Tivi. As a side note, I gave my mother a gift card for Xmas, and due to an appointment error (they didn't have her on the calendar, they said), she wound up being worked on by a manager. This was in Ft. Worth, and my mom is sold on Hand & Stone! One thing I've found, however, is that sometimes I've waited 10 minutes to make an appointment on the phone. Either we can't find a time that works with my schedule or I don't know the therapist. Maybe it's the answering service? Something's off.
