Hand and Stone

This was my first hot stone massage. I enjoyed many parts of it but was surprised how deep the pressure was and on several occasions experienced pain. The imaging on the website makes it seem like warm rocks are placed along the back for heat. The website does not explain the rocks will also be used as a massage tool. It also indicates this massage is light to medium for relaxation. My experience was a very deep tissue massage. I learned that I should have spoken up to my therapist at several points as it was very painful at times - especially when I was massaged on the back of my arms. I felt pain immediately during the massage & after I left, soaked in an epsom salt bath, but have been sore to touch still 3 days post massage.

I went to a different location this time and was disappointed that the massage bed linens did not seem as clean as the ones I had gotten used to in the previous location.

It is more of the place that was not conducive to a relax mood but Grace is a great therapist

The overall experience was good. I have no concerns and I will return for another laser appointment

The therapist just wasn't for me. He always asked if the pressure was right so that was great. I just didn't feel like it was a relaxing massage. He was good at addressing most of my painful spots.

I prefer my previous masseuse at this location however she was not available.

There was an alarm that went off in another room which was audible from the room I was in. It was a bit annoying

Hand and Stone is more expensive than other providers that aren’t “spas”. That said it’s convenient clean, and effective.

Both the receptionist and Esthetician were great however, the dollar amount for a 50 minute facial is excessive. I would return for facials regularly, if the price point was reasonable.
