Hand and Stone

I think my therapist did a great job, however, I just felt like there are differences in the Hand & Stone that I go to in NY. Like when you are asked to turn over, in NY they put a nice hot rolled up towel under the back of your neck while they work on your front side.

I am concerned about employees and patrons not masking (except my therapist, who always does). There is no distancing of employees. My therapist is awesome and pays attention to my concerns.

Upon arriving to the appointment, the lobby area was pretty packed. There was a dirty cup near where I was sitting. I was the last person to be called for my appointment for the same time slot, and could tell that the staff felt stressed and rushed by the workload. Although my actual massage was great, you could see the pressure in the staff to maintain their numbers. That takes away from the relaxation factor, as the lobby did not feel soothing.

The cost increase within 1 year was 20 per month. I have limited time and have accrued multiple packages. Seems like a waste of money for me personally. Also my favorites esthetician no longer works there. Noone has been able to replicate her facials. My skin use to glow after her facials and the facial massage was absolutely amazing!! So disappointed not to have her any longer.

Recent therapist massages one side of my back at a time.

$70 plus tip is too expensive for 45 minutes of actual massage time. I have been a member over 10 years. I plan to research other massage places for better pricing per actual massage time.

The pressure could’ve been a little more firm. The massage therapist could’ve been a little more outgoing. The room was a little warm.

While the front end service and experience is always good, the physical demand of the therapists Is something I am Highly Satisfied with.

Staff was friendly but as far as the facial, I didn’t see any improvements. Facial offered extractions that were not completed. Overall the esthetician was pleasant.

The therapist was very nice and professional. I want to make that very clear. I just wasn’t satisfied with the pressure and stayed 1-2x he can use more pressure. Again, no issue with him as a therapist. I’ve learned from this and on my session booked, I upgraded it to deep tissue to avoid this from happening again.
