Hand and Stone

Took my friend here for a couples massage, his first time. My past experiences with massage spas were more elite. Showers and lockers have always been available along with wine and steam rooms. For the price I expected more amenities. This was my first visit to a hand and stone spa.

The availability of the therapist isn't great. The place is ok but nothing special and parking is terrible.

I just felt the overall experience was good and thought it should be more spa-like experience.

I feel like their services are very beginner.

1. Massage rooms are too noisy - even with the music, you can hear other people talking in full voice in other rooms. 2. I like to book appointments when I feel I need one, and same-day availability is very low. And forget about getting a "regular" massage therapist. 3. Web site and app are flat-out horrible. It is impossible to make and manage appointments, I always have to call. There's no excuse for this in 2017. No SMS alerts to remind me of my appointments etc.

Booking was not as easy as I thought it should be. I originally scheduled 2 90 minutes massages for 2pm then was called and told it would be 4pm then was called again the next day to be told one would have to be moved to 4:30. When I asked about the week long maintenance on the mobile app, no one could answer my question as they were not familiar with the app and told me to contact them.

The reception area at this location is often very crowded. There is sometimes a wait to check in and check out.

My sister and I like to come for our appts together and have been doing so since we joined. However, recently we have been having difficulty scheduling appts with our therapists at the same time. We select days that both therapists are working and are very flexible with this. Now the problem is one of our therapist appts are scheduled on the hour and the other therapist is scheduled on the half hour. We like our established therapists and do not want to change. When we are scheduling 80 minute appts I don't understand why we cannot be accommodated. At some point when a longer appt is book the therapist is no longer going to be on the half hour booking. Very frustrating.

First time and didn't know what to expect.

Massage was just ok, felt like she rush through and cut the time short.
