Hand and Stone

- this was my first time with therapist DK - he was running late, but no one mentioned that, so when the massage started, I was uneasy, wondering if I was going to get shorted time on my massage (he could/should have told me that I would still get my full hour, which I did get :) - he used ALOT of massage oil, and it is my opinion that his hands end up sliding on top of my skin verses getting good contact and being able to dig in and really massage my muscles - I told him about one trouble area and he said he would give it extra attention, but he did not - he tried really hard and DID ask if his pressure was good but I think he needs more experience which is why I am writing this review - He was super professional and polite, but when my friend asked how I liked my massage, I told her "he tried" and I promptly scheduled my next appointment with Steve Orr who I have used in the past and who I love! Steve didn't have any openings which is why I tried someone new (DQ) Thank you

The only reason is that at the last visit the massage room was a little cold. The bed warmer was on and definitely helped but was still feeling a draft at some points during the massage

I absolutely loved the woman who gave me my facial! I can't wait to go back.

therapist was running late, I received a call to let me know. when I arrived she was there and ready for me which was great! we spoke about my problem areas and the pressure.. I didn't need a full body massage... I would have rather had more time spent on problem area and pressure was in an out during the massage. It felt nice, of course but I would have liked a little firmer.

Massage was good, asked for firm pressure but got more of a backrub that mom gives you when you're not feeling well. Also paid for the peppermint scalp massage, that was for all of 3 minutes so probably won't be adding that again.

Room was not warm enough. Tables should be heated or blankets. I don't like the sales pitch about the program.

The receptionist I worked with upon checking out at the end of the session was quite pushy when it came to signing up for a membership and it made me feel very uncomfortable, even though I DID agree to a membership (eventually) -- just felt like a pressure-filled situation, the opposite of the feeling I'd like to have upon leaving a spa.

I was10 minutes late but tried to call several times. Was told my massage would be cut short (and was). I left not feeling the same as the first time i had been there. Never knew the rules. Never received emails. They had it wrong.

I was satisfied & enjoyed the peppermint oil experience afterward. I enjoyed everything. Only slight areas of improvement could be a bit more use of pressure point techniques for pain areas & I would like even more time on my feet.
