The pressure of the massage could have been more firm. I did ask.

My usual massuse couldn’t fit me in so I booked with a new person. Her style was the TOTAL opposite of what I needed/wanted, and I ended up leaving in pain and emotionally stressed. I’m a member so I expected to be compensated for the unpleasirable experience, and now I’m getting a 50% discount on my next massage with a therapist that i was told is guaranteed to fit my physical and emtional needs. I’m confident I will have better experiences in the future.

The actual treatments to my face felt rushed. I think she spent more time on massage than normal which was obviously nice but the facial treatments themselves felt faster than they should be.

I live in Huntington Beach and was going to the Huntington Beach location, but the availability at that location did not fit my schedule. Also, at the HB location, every time I would schedule a massage they would call and have to change the massage therapist or the time or something around that. It was very frustrating. Both my mom and I had that issue (we are both members) so we decided to go back to the Costa Mesa location. Everything was great at that location, there was only one issue. Since I came from the HB location, part of the membership included a deep tissue or Swedish, but I guess that at the Costa Mesa location they only included Swedish with an extra charge for a deep tissue. So I did a deep tissue and at the end of the visit they informed me that I owed $10, which I did not know that I was going to be charged. After discussing with them that at the other location they did not charge, they discounted it for me (which was very generous) and now I know that it is extra. The Costa Mesa location seems to have a lot of different therapists and is run very well! The staff there is great especially the male at the front reception area (I am forgetting his name). Thanks!

My appointment was scheduled at 9pm. I was there at 8.50 ecause they told me to come early to fill out the paperwork. I didn’t go into the therapy room until 9.20 and exactly at 10 pm I walked out after my “one hour facial procedure for which I paid a lot of money.

I had hoped I could pay my monthly services up on my arrival, but I was charged on my credit card instead. I understand that this is your policy, but don't offer me to pay cash upon arrival if the my cr.card will also be charged....reason for me canceling my membership.

I was satisfied with my massage. But it was not the best massage I had received from the Hand and Stone at the Costa Mesa CA location, so that is why I did not chose Highly Satisfied.

** The value comment had more to do with the salt stone treatment. When there is no extra time to the massage and for $30, I would not do it again. **********PLEASE have a sign entering the location telling people there is to be NO PHONE CONVERSATION. I had some man conducting business while awaiting his girlfriend and it was annoying and had a mom scolding her kids. They should take it outside as courteous people do.

Normally I schedule my appts. on the phone or at the time of my visit. I have a card which I get initialed when I pre book. This appt. the receptionist would not initial my card because I had called ahead for the appt. instead of booking it at the time of my last appt. I never have had this problem before and it seems to me that an appt. booked either in person (at the time of one appt.) or booked over the phone should qualify for a prebooking and therefore would qualify for an initial on the card.
