Before my appt, the receptionist was unable to articulate what add-on services I could qualify for using my points, BUT my esthetician cleared it up. After my appt, there was a lot of confusion around my billing (apparently my appt was 1 day prior to "earning" my next package for Oct), so I was a bit upset at first because it wasn't explained to me clearly. But after a lengthy conversation, not only was everything cleared up, but I was offered a slight discount due to the experience. I was pleased with the way it was handled in the end...just a rocky start.

I have asked for the manager to get in touch with me on several occasions. I have been paying $5 more than I should for my membership due to having two members in th same house having membership. While $5 is minimal, it's the principle of the issue, and frustrating that it still has t been resolved. I have yet to hear from the manager after my last two visits.

It's almost impossible to get an appointment on the weekend, unless you book 2 weeks in advance. The location is well subscribed. Not sure if it can accommodate more therapists, but that might help.

I believe H&S is good value for the cost. They deliver as promised on all levels and I will continue to be a member. You can't beat H&S for the convenience and cost.

I had scheduled dual appointments for my daughter and I for facials and massages. I was contacted earlier the same day to tell me that the masseuse had had an auto accident and wouldn't be in that day. This was disappointing as it was the only day my daughter was in town. We just went for the facial appt. as a result. The most upsetting thing was that this is the 4th time my scheduled massage appt. has been cancelled by Hand and Stone on the same day.

In general, my experiences at Hand and Stone have been wonderful. This visit the reception staff seemed inadequate and untrained. Usually when I arrive, I am offered the hot stone massage option; not this time, which is okay, my regular masseuse, Melissa, is wonderful at everything. As I left there was a problem. I walked to the desk to schedule next appointment and leave a tip. The receptionist was sitting there and as I started to speak, someone elsewhere in the reception area asked a question about coconut water. The woman I thought I was dealing with got up and walked away and was having a lengthy conversation as I filled-out a tip envelope. I asked where I should leave it. "Anyplace" she responded. Really? I actually wanted the tip to get to my masseuse. "Anyplace" was not reassuring. Usually I schedule next appointment before I leave, but since this receptionist clearly had no time or interest in my needs, I just walked out. Will call for another appointment with Melissa because she is my favorite masseuse ever, but am hoping the help at the desk returns to its prior level of friendliness and competence by then.
