Hand and Stone

I've never been impressed with the main receptionist girl. Also, when I call in to make an appointment, it seems like the systems being used are not maximized for the best results. The receptionist has to go back and forth to check different schedules and it takes longer than it should.

I had a great first experience with Tom. Unfortunately he was sick and had to cancel my second appointment. When I tried to reschedule, he was booked up for some time so I was scheduled with another therapist (I was not even given her name). The therapist was not as personable and I felt she rushed with the actual massage. I asked a few times to start out with light pressure and work up to more intensity and that request wasn't followed. Unfortunately I didn't leave feeling the same relief I had previously. And, was very sore the next day. I understand, some soreness is to be expected but it was very uncomfortable.

My facial was GREAT! My massage was one of the worst I've ever had.

I had a massage first, then a facial. Vanessa walked me to the room for my facial. Kristy was preparing the room for me and asked that I wait in Vanessa's room. So I went to the restroom. Came out, went to Vanessa room to wait. She was busy cleaning her room and tried to walk me to kristys room. Kristy asked again that I wait in Vanessa's room. Clearly they both were trying to clean and prep for the next guests. That is cool. So I decided to sit in the hallway until kristy was ready for me. 1. The situation Could have been better organized. 2. Kristy was clearly annoyed and a little short/condescending in communicating with Vanessa. This was my first time here. By no means do I think we all need to adore our coworkers but a little explanation and kindness goes so far. Just sayin.

It is hard to find appointment times that work for my schedule.

I'm satisfied, I like the service, just gets to be expensive every month

Everyone was friendly.

Booked with one massage therapist and when I got there I was given a different therapist with no explanation. Once again when I tried to book another appointment nothing was available for over a month at a time convenient for me.

My esthetician was wonderful, no complaints! My massage therapist was not. She was running behind and as a result ended up waiting for 20 minutes. I could feel that she felt rushed. She didn't review my form and just quickly asked about pressure (medium) and key areas to work on. She did not appear to be "in tune" to me at all. I asked for less pressure and she briefly accomodated. I actually verbally said "ouch that hurts" two additional times and actually pulled away from her touch. I had tears in my eyes and almost had the courage to end the massage early. I left more tense and in more pain than I arrived. I was afraid of breaking down at the front desk, so I dressed and settled up quickly before leaving. Upon getting to my car I broked down and cried with the amount of pain I was in and how she didn't listen to me. Today I'm very sore and feel like I should have bruises all over my body. That part was far from a pleasurable and relaxing treat that I had promised myself.

I was fine with it.
