The head rests on the massage tables seem a bit off so I have difficulty getting my neck into a comfortable position. Massage therapists are somewhat randomly assigned. I mostly use a really talented sports massage specialist, but sometimes this can be a bit too intense. I have had all good massages here, but I just haven't found the perfect combination for days when I want to feel more pampered.

The therapist (Emily) I had was just "cold". She wasn't horribly unfriendly but she certainly wasn't personable once we had walked to the back. The massage started out good, and I said at some point the pressure felt great. but halfway through it she was just mashing and jabbing my body. i specifically asked for a focus on my shoulders, lower back and hips. she did ok with the shoulder work but the lower back and hip areas--there was absolutely no massage technique applied. she jabbed at my lower back and hip and didn't even hit the sore areas with the jabbing. Then she said "this concludes our massage for today and there's a hot towel for you". i opened my eyes and looked at her and she appeared to be disgruntled or frustrated or something. it made me really uncomfortable. i quickly dressed and left the room. Usually, the therapists here are waiting for the client afterwards to talk about things related to the massage. This lady was nowhere to be found--not even to offer water after the massage as the other therapists do. I wondered if she was prejudiced or something. That was my first time feeling uncomfortable at Hand & Stone. it was really disappointing.

Would appreciate more options in the times I have available for different massage therapists.

In my experience, Hand and Stone massage therapists typically are not knowledgeable about the muscle structure or how to actually relieve real body pains. I refer to Hand and Stone to other people as "they touch you and it feels nice" but not somewhere that is actually going to work out any real muscle problems. I have gone to independent massage facilities where individuals truly are body workers and understand the body systems, how they interact with each other, and where to find the source of a problem. Hand and Stone is nice, but the experience of the therapists is incredibly limited. Its relaxing, but it doesn't fix any of the problems I experience in my body. I have gone 4 or 5 times now and have seen 3 different employees and it is the same every time. Definitely relaxing, but doesn't provide long term relief.

I usually prefer a more spa like setting and experience. H&S massage was good but not exceptional. Two things to improve: quality/scent of massage oil and temperature of room (I prefer hot and heated table)

It has been challenging to book available appointments in the last few months, there was one incident that I can recall in which the appointment was cancelled the day of and when calling about the rescheduling the receptionist was not very pleasant about the situation on the phone.

I was highly satisfied, only thing that was a bit annoying was the lack of selection for teas, and the fact that you use styrofoam cups. Not environmentally friendly and not aligned with the "high end" feel of the spa but with the value pricing. It's confusing and perhaps limiting to your customer segments. Gave me the wrong impression, e.g., cutting corners.

Had a facial and then was told I added a service. This was not discussed with me. They waived the fee, but it seemed like It was my fault.

The receptionist did not have all the details in the check out process with the gift card purchases, but she left the manager a message to contact me and the next day the manager sent me an email. Highly satisfied with the quick response!
