Hand and Stone

This was my first time outside of Massage Envy where I had a very long relationship. I have to get use to a different therapist, a different dynamic, etc. I have to find my comfort zone after dealing with two therapists for around 15 years. 2020 changed a lot of businesses and I'm hoping to land in a spot, with a therapist where I can have that kind of relationship again. I'm a creature of habit and very loyal. I was gifted H&S by my wife. I used it on Sunday 25 July with Kumba and I have another appointment on Thursday with Kaitlen. I am checking H&S to see if I will become a member.

It was great but the massages felt short and nothing out of the ordinary. But the esthetician did a very good job with the hand and arm massages. Her extraction method was probably the best and most efficient I've experienced at any hand & stone.

My appointment was scheduled for 2pm and i wasn’t called in until 2:07pm because a friend of mine had the same masseuse and she was cleaning the room, I guess. The massage ended at 2:55pm. I don’t feel I received my full 50 minutes

Therapist was a bit on the rough side and sloppy. Her nails were long/sharp got scratched a few times. Other than this everything else was okay.

I go to the spot to relax not to get a five-page form that I have to read and sign.

It was a regular massage and customer service experience. Nothing overly exceptional. The message therapist was really nice.

I booked a couples massage. The male therapist was wonderful and asked lots of questions beforehand. Woman therapist very awkward and didn’t ask me anything. She was much quicker than the male. I was massaged on one side quickly then she would do the other for at least double the time and take long pauses and sighed very often. I felt like she was bored with my massage and did not give my muscles the equal attention they deserved. She took breaks and loudly sighed multiple times during my massage. Very unprofessional and subpar massage. The only reason this is getting an ok rating was because the male masseuse was excellent and attentive. The woman was extremely disappointing and I feel like it was a waste of my money.

I appreciated the knowledge of the receptionist and loved the ambiance

I have been a member at Hand and Stone since 2019. I have gotten multiple services at both the North Brunswick location and the Somerset location. Almost every single time, with few exceptions, my massage therapist or aesthetician has given me less than the 50 minutes of service time. It’s almost always a 40 to 45 minutes service instead of the full 50 minutes. Because of the fact that I am paying such a high price for the service and also tipping generously, I expect the full 50 minutes to be given to me without fail. I have complained about this before and it continues to happen. I show up for my appointments on time, so that cannot be cited as a reason for why I don’t get the full time. With tip, I end up paying $80 per service and I don’t appreciate only getting a 40 minute service after paying $80. I’m upset that inspite of bringing it up so many times, the staff have not been adequately informed to not make this mistake with any of the customers.
