I explained to Giselle, the therapist, where I am suffering pain. I said I wanted a relaxing massage, with not too much pressure, and no conversation. She followed my instructions and communicated with me related to the progress of the massage and the pressure. In my mind, I was thinking it was so good, I would book 2 hours next time. When she finished, she suggested next time I would do more than one hour. I made the next appointment for two hours with the same therapist. I would recommend her wholeheartedly. I have been a member since Hand and Stone opened their store close to my house. I have a very busy life and little time. I have a lot of unused services. I just gave one to my son in law in Orlando and he was very happy as well. I will set time aside to take care of my body and soul and Hand and Stone.

Difficulty scheduling next appt. Told the gal was not working the day I requested. I changed the day, then was told she was not working that day. The receptionists need to have better training.

The checkout process was very slow. The receptionist was friendly but it seemed to take a lot longer than it should.

I had booked for a Wednesday appointment and came back to Jacksonville from out of state a day earlier than needed to be here for my appointment only to find out the receptionist had forgotten to put my appointment in the computer. The team was able to rebook me for the following Monday and offered me a credit for a service upgrade. I feel like it was as fair a solution to an unfortunate situation as one could hope for but I would obviously rather have had my original appointment slot.

Though I enjoyed my couples massage, I felt as if my girlfriend and I were constantly being asked about adding additional items to the package (ie himalayan salt stones for an extra $30). When we said no, we were asked again mid-massage, thereby detracting from the relaxation. I appreciate that it is a business, but when I say no at the initial checkin to the additional options, I don’t want my massage to be interrupted so that you can try selling it again.

I enjoyed my deep tissue massage. Amanda really worked my muscles and has great talent. It was just what I needed physically but she was a little chatty during the session. The esthetician Amanda was very knowledgeable and calming. The online booking was not working for a few hours so I needed to call to secure the appointments.

The massage therapist was great. He was very professional and courteous. It was probably one of the best massages I’ve had in a while.
