Very friendly and welcoming location. Very pleased with the devices provided.

My massage therapist was offering advice outside of their expertise (how much water I should drink a day etc.) and the overall ambiance feels cheap.

Overall the experience was good. The experience with the massage therapist was excellent. The only issue that I had was the friendliness of the receptionist and front desk. They could have been more personable but other then that I am satisfied with the experience.

I found it unwelcoming. There was no one at reception when I came in. Someone came from the back and asked if I’d been helped. This turned out to be my massage therapist. When I was paying I didn’t find the receptionist friendly. I felt like I was being rushed out so he could help the next person. The massage was ok. I’ve never had a hot stone massage so I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t realize I would be massaged with the stones. I would have appreciated some explanation about what was happening. The therapist walked over to the sink a few times during the massage at the beginning and turned on the tap which I found distracting and made it hard to relax because I didn’t know what was happening.

Therapist did not meet my needs and seemed “rushed” and “frantic” from the moment he walked me to the room. Did not preheat table. Temp in room was cold. I had goosebumps. Therapists’ forearms had hair and didn’t make it a pleasant experience when using his arm to massage me. Poked my eye and got peppermint aromatherapy oil in my eye during scalp massage. Did not double check pressure with me. Pressed on my spine and other bones constantly which hurt. Did not give me hot towel after to wipe body. Did not wipe body with towel between body sections. I had to book another appointment for next week because my body feels tighter and worse than it did before I had this massage. I’ll continue to come to Hand and Stone because it’s close to my house and it’s clean. But I did not like my last masseuse.

I wish the massage itself was 50 mins but mine was more 40 to 45 as they cut out the the time when I went to the bathroom at the start of the appointment. Usually it's not a big dif but when the rate of the massage is almost $2 per minute with tax the extra 5 to 10 mins goes a long way for value!

I was a little confused as the computer system was down on that day and I did not receive all the confirmation beforehand. I was not sure if I could make a booking successfully. I could not make a payment as well. It made me a little worried.

The place was nice and quiet and the massage was fantastic. But I hate upselling and sales pitches, especially when I am trying to relax. It feels underhanded.

The aesthetician was more concerned about pushing products. This facial was a gift and I did enjoy it but I didn’t need her telling me that what I regularly use is garbage. She was pushing her products and if she endorses another product in the future is she going to say that the product she used before is garbage?
