My therapist was very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable, but he talked throughout the whole massage and I felt it would be unkind for me to ask him not to. However, it meant that I could not relax as much.

They don’t bill directly to the insurance The therapist did not ask if the pressure was ok. Kept holding one area and applying pressure It was more of a rub then a massage on the rest of the body which I didn’t specify

With my gift certificate. Couldn't have the first time $69.00 price point, charged me full price. I FOR SURE would have come back. Disappointed I got penalized for having a gift certify. Felt a little bit ripped off.

I was mostly satisfied with my experience - reception and massage therapists were friendly and skilled. The massage was excellent. I wish that the room we were in had a more pleasant scent as I am sensitive to smells. The head rest felt slightly damp. But otherwise it was a great experience

I was left waiting for 20m after my massage as there was a breakdown in communication and the esthetician was not aware that I was ready to start my facial. Had to get dressed and go back to the lobby. No compensation offered for my inconvenience which was disappointing. A small gift or gift certificate would have gone a long way to increase my satisfaction.

I enjoyed my time at the Hand and Stone on College. The staff were friendly. My appointment started a little late after being pushed back an hour and not getting any notification of this until arrival.

My massage therapist was just not friendly. She didn't smile when she greeted me or at any other time so I felt tense. She never used my name and never told me hers. After saying "let me know if you need more/less Press at any time" before she left the room so I could unstressed, she never once checked how I was and I felt too uncomfortable to request more pressure for most of the appointment, though I did once. She responded when I made some small talk but I felt she was placating me. Perhaps she was dealing with some other issues of her own but I found myself wondering about her disposition the whole time. It was also strange to have an RMT performing esthetician services (foot scrub treatment) for which I'm not sure she is trained or wanted to do (nor should she have to).

I like H&S because it is close to my home and there is usually last minute availability. The massages are also at a good price point. It lacks the ambiance that I enjoy at a higher end spa (decor, facilities, perks), and also the quality/expertise of the RMTs vary greatly so I don’t always get a good massage.
