Hand and Stone

There were two people at the reception area when I arrived. I checked in with one person then went to the waiting area as instructed. The other person came out afterwards asking me to check in, not realizing I was already checked in. During the service the esthetician's remark about the products I'm using was a bit condescending. After the service I was recommended two products - one was out of stock and the other there was only one bottle remaining that seemed to have leakage which I didn't want to buy. The owner (who was at the reception) seemed to brush off my concerns. The esthetician was very friendly and personable and I'm satisfied overall, but there is some room for improvement.

Very pleasant e perience but did not exceed expectations

Massage was not as smooth as I would have liked. Muscle tension was not released.

Noise in the ceiling of the room was distracting over and above the music playing - why have the soft music play if you have a noise in the ceiling

My appointment started 15 mins late, although my overall appointment was the same duration in time, I didn't appreciate waiting in the massage room for 15 mins laying face down on the bed.

Temperature in the room was a little cold and the water used to cleanse was also cold. Would have been nicer to be a bit warmer.

The therapist was new to me. I expected more massage on my neck and chest area.

I booked the apt last minute as I was in desperate need of a message. I was surprised when I came in that it was with a male. I am not opposed to it, I have had 1 other time a message with a man. He was very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. He listened to my feedback during the massage and made the appropriate changes. I just felt that the linens on the massage bed were to thin. I felt like you could see every part of my body right through the linens. I have never experienced this before. I have been for massages all over the world in 5 star spas and the linens are typically thicker to keep you warm and comfortable. The room also lacked ambience, there was no candles lit (even non-flame), or a diffuser, mini water fountain to set the mood. The room was also brighter than I have experienced before, which made me uncomfortable. Typically it is more darkly lit with ambient lighting. I came to this spa for more of a spa experience. It was my first time there.
