Hand and Stone

The therapist was very nice and attentive to areas I highlighted as concerns. The pressure was not consistent. This was my first time with her. I usually see Joseph, so I guess i am used to his style and techniques. He seems to be able to release the tensions in muscles better. I leave feeling much more relaxed and trouble areas settles down. My lower back felt better overall, but I actually struggled to get off table and get shoes on because my back was spasming after massage. This has happened before in past and usually settles down after a day or so. Some therapists are just a better fit for me. The front desk gals are always wonderful. I have a rotating schedule which often does not accommodate getting same day massages. I will have to plan ahead better to get the therapist I want. But some days you are hurting or just want to treat yourself, and you guys are so busy I can't get in when that happens.

I don't think they've handled the pandemic well- they started charging more for every little thing (feeling nickel and dimed). They have not been very understanding of the limitations of an immune compromised family by limiting our freezing options and charging for them

I was visiting Anthem, I live in Virginia.

I guess a very high level of satisfaction for me for this service would be an ambience of a bigger spa; say water sound, selection of teas, staff in uniforms, etc. This does not in any means take away any of the very lovely service I got from both the therapist and receptionist - they were adorable.

I now know in the future to be more specific about my needs. I needed a back message and not an all over message. I really needed an hour on my back. So I felt like it didn't address my pain. No fault to the therapist.

Extremely satisfied with front desk staff. I felt like the massage therapist was in a rush. Moving quickly on the massage. The headrest on the massage table could not adjust to the appropriate level, making it slightly uncomfortable. I would like to say that generally I have always had a good experience when coming to the Hand and Stone in Anthem. I think that maybe the massage therapist wasn't the best fit for me. Also hopefully they can get a new headrest for that particular massage table. I will be back again because like I said I've always been happy in the past. I know pairing up the massage therapist with the customer can be tricky sometimes not one fits all.

I have always had good experiences when I go to this Hand and Stone location.

I booked for my husband and myself on my actual birthday and 1.5 hours before our appointment they called and had to cancel his. Just ruined my experience

No one was wearing masks! I also do not like the Arrowhead location so the drive to Anthem is far. I only go there because of Erin.

The prices had gone up since the last time I went there. There was also an additional $10 fee because I had deep tissue massage. I also noticed the same hot towels were used for wrapping feet. The towels weren’t put in the laundry area just laid on the counter. There was a little confusion by the receptionist when I tried to redeem the massage gift card. She wasn’t quite sure how to do it.
