I had two situations which were troublesome. 1. The waxing appointment which I had booked to take place after my massage was cancelled when I arrived with no attempt at compensation. If I had been told even 30 minutes sooner, I could have had the waxing taken care of during the nail session which I went to just before my massage. 2. I was not called back to my 2:00 PM massage until 2:07. (Actually, I was in the bathroom so it was probably 2:05). It did not begin for 5 minutes after that, and it ended at 2:54. I'm no mathematician, but.... The masseuse was outstanding, and I have no complaints about her, which is why I did not say anything yesterday. My concerns are with regard to how the location itself appears to be being managed, if there was both a scheduling error and an appointment time error involved yesterday.

Dislike that the estheticians have to push additional services.

Everything was very basic since it was a basic facial for $60. I never felt pushed into purchasing upgrades, but it appears you HAVE to in order to have the spa feel. Which comes with more $$$.

The ambiance of the therapy rooms could have been more pleasing if the chairs were not folding chairs. Also the facial therapist left a stack of used towels on the floor. There should have been a comoflaged container for then. The bathrooms and lobby should have been more elegant and refined. The lobby area was a bit small for the number of clients I saw there. I peviously had the Kuykendahl location in The Woodlands as my primary location, but moved to a new part of town. I expected this location to mirror the eligamce and ambiance of that location but was a bit disappointed. The staff at the Kuykendahl location we’re all in a standard dress of basic black and the lobby area and therapy rooms were all a bit more well appointed,

The ladies at the front desk did not exude professionalism nor promote a relaxing environment. They both were talking loud and one was wearing flip flops, which In my opinion looked unprofessional. Fortunately Katelyn made up for it all with an excellent massage. She’s the only reason I’ll continue my membership.

I LOVE the masseuse, Euroindia. She is highly professional and very knowledgeable with great technique. What I do not like is the fact that the prices seem to be increasing. It seems that it gets more and more expensive to get services at Hand & Stone. I love the Himalyan salt stones, but they are a very expensive add on. My monthly rates used to be $49 and now it is $59 and the add-ons, make it even more expensive. I'm beginning to feel like I cannot afford my massages.

Aroma therapy (at least scent) should be used (free). Waiting area is crowded - and not very "spa-like". Sales pitch is too aggressive. Just offer good services for a good price and don't make it so much of a "membership" thing.
