I explained my concern for a specific ache/pain in my neck and asked which service would be best, the receptionist said the massage therapist would be better at telling me. The receptionist booked me for a deep tissue massage. The massage therapist tried to accommodate on focusing on my neck area to help but when I asked what type of massage she said just Swedish massage. She was new, working there only 1 month, so she clearly lacked knowledge of what would be best for me. She failed to tell the receptionist her choice and so I was charged for a deep tissue massage. I will try hand and stone again but only with a more experienced therapist.

I had 2 appointments cancelled/rescheduled last month. I wish that someone from the location reached out to me as a member once my second appointment set up could not be accommodated. Problems and emergencies arise, and appontnsments can be rescheduled , but you never forget how reps make you feel when things go wrong. I didn't feel valued as I have in the past.

The reception staff was great this time, however, upon my first visit the two females at the desk were not as friendly or welcoming. A woman that came in after me on my first visit was offered water and accommodated a bit more than I was.... This time the female and male were very welcoming and helped to confirm my return to this location. And Faith my massage therapist was great!

I did not like doing facial before massage. Also limited availability when booking appointments.

Hand and Stone does not use any hard sell techniques. It is easy to stay focused on the reason I am there, self care. The membership program works well for me. No hidden costs, genuinely service oriented. As a licensed massage therapist myself I appreciate that they care enough about the therapists to provide hydraulic tables and visible gratuity envelopes and guidelines to keep their therapists happy.

Difficult to get an apt with female therapist for my schedule. Also parking is a hassle and that is an added cost.

On the form I listed soft for the massage but I realize i'm very sensitive and it could've been softer. I may use a woman next time and see if that makes a difference. I had a wonderful experience overall and would defiantly come back to Hand & Stone.

It was my first time so I was not sure how this massage would be as opposed to other ones I have had. The room was sparse with few places to put my clothes and bags. Plus it was stuffy (though he had a fan that he turned on.) I really liked my massage therapist.

I usually go to a spa with full spa services - where you can shower or go to a steam room after my massage. But for a quick massage on the go, this is good.
