My appointment started an hour late. I understood that the reason was outside of the esthetician's control, but the staff could have warned me that the delay would have been this long so I could reschedule.

sometimes get shorted from my '50 minutes' and availability of therapists not always good and i was canceled 1 hour before one of my massages and not even offered anything as compensation
By I go to elements for massages and your place for facials. My facials are great but massages there, i have not been impressed with. Tries it twice. | 1/18/2019

Receptionist was great and extremely helpful. Service it’s self was just ok. Room lighting was too much ( I would have preferred the lighting was dimmed but it was not). No warmer on the table made it really cold when the sheet was not on my back. Also there was not background music so I could hear every little noise the therapist made or from outside of the room. Just never could really relax. Also the message just didn’t really fit my needs. I am returning in a month to a different therapist, hopefully it will be a better experience, if not I will not be continuing my membership.

I had asked over the phone if my massage could be deep tissue. The massage ended up being more relaxation based. I cannot remember if I shared my need for increased pressure to neck and upper back but even the woman doing my facial noticed that I needed that area to have special attention. It was likely that I forgot to mention the deep tissue aspect of how I scheduled the massage. It was my first hot stone to the whole body massage. I feel like I could just do mini hot stones to my neck and upper back in the future as I did not feel any significant difference in having them for the whole body. I like coming to Hand and Stone and plan to come for both facial and massage in the future. I just have to remember to speak up. I'm sure I forgot to mention the deep tissue so I hope the therapist does not take any feedback personally. I think it was a mistake on my part.

I booked via a “We Miss You” email but it was not shown at the final time of the billing. It was resolved right away and I was given the full diaount. Just slightly annoying since it was booked from that email.

I did a couple "add ons" which used up two of my membership coupons - $100. The facial lasted only an hour. I would have thought it would have gone longer if a couple add ons were added. I feel as if everything was rushed or cut back on in order to get the upgrades done. That was an expensive one-hour facial.

I tried three different massage therapists before I found one I thought was knowledgeable and friendly and easy to communicate with. Unfortunately, it took until I tried a fourth massage therapist before I was satisfied.

The appointment started a bit late, but the manager did let me know and made sure i was comfortable and my needs were met while i waited. The massage itself, as well as the staff and ambience were as great as always, and I do understand the occasional timing issues -- I do run late occasionally as well.

I was very pleased with the massage therapist that I had for the appointment. Michelle, the massage therapist, listened very well and understood what I wanted the massage to focus on relative to my areas of need. Her treatment had the right balance between my areas of need and offering a holistic approach to the massage. Then at the end she clearly explained what approach she would take during the next session. I have another appointment scheduled with her.
