Hand and Stone

I had arrived 15 minutes before my appointment. 30 minutes later I was in the treatment room and looked at my phone it was 15 after the appointment start time. I was was left to disrobe and the therapist returned shortly. My appointment began 20 minutes after my scheduled time and ended just before the hour ended. The massage was 37 minutes and excluded areas this regular therapist included. I sensed she was trying to regain the schedule because she ran over with the prior client. 13 minutes off a 50 minute massage is a variance I had not previously encountered. I honestly felt slighted as I really like this therapist and request her exclusively. I did not mention it to her because she is really great and I want to keep seeing her. This survey came and I decided to let you know. I have been a client of the chain for more than 5 years in total. I understand the service is booked in an hours slot to allow 10 minutes to change and 50 minutes of treatment. Even the full 50 minutes never is enough but it is the service purchased. Yesterday, the appointment was 26% shorter. I do not want the therapist told because I am a long standing client.

My 4:00 appointment began at 4:10, and ended at 4:55. I did not feel I was given the full time I allowed.

There was no container with water in waiting area. the massage oil preferred would be grape seed oil not mineral oil. Whatever it was the masseuse did not use enough.

I appreciated the time and care that was given during my wax. This was my first time at this location and I will definitely be back.

I was satisfied with my experience at Hand and Stone; the masseuse was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only reason I would not be highly satisfied is the price of receiving a massage, it is too costly to make paying to receive a massage a monthly or bimonthly experience.

I did not feel I got my full 80 minutes...I could be wrong

I absolutely love Danielle from the Hainesport location. She is always happy and makes me feel welcomed. She sets the bed warm like I like it ND I've been going to her for almost a year. What I did notice in my recent visit was how loud it was in the hallway outside my room. People were having a full conversation and even laughing loudly. I honestly didn't bring it up because I like to be in and out so I don't mess up how relaxed I feel after seeing Danielle. They should remind therapist and clients to maintain a whisper voice. It definitely woke me out of my zen a few times. I wish I had a timer but it seemed like it went on for about 3 minutes.

The lobby/reception area was way too crowded... there actually weren't enough chairs for everyone waiting! Also, when I checked out, there was a lot of confusion and it took a while. Apparently my record in the system had my old last name, even though I signed up 3 months ago with my new name. Then, when the correct system record was located, it had the wrong address. I guess the 5 pages of paper work I filled out 3 months ago were for nothing. Also, I indicated that I wanted to discontinue my membership and was told that I can't because I signed up at the Hamilton location. It seems ridiculous that I have to go to Hamilton to quit in person -- I thought a benefit of your membership was the multiple locations.

It's a small reception area so it feels more rushed with the comings and goings. The girl who took card of me was very nice and knowledgeable. She did steer me away from the youthful facial to the standard one because she said I didn't have many lines on my face and she said, " Believe me, your not too bad I have seen worst." Honestly, I know she is young but thought that could have been worded much better. Does not make me want to rush back there.

The power went off the room got warm and because of this I don it get a full hour message.
