I have been a member for about 5 years and every time I find someone I like, they no Longer work there or don't work there long. The receptionist is someone different every time they go in. The turn over rate is ridiculous and it shows customers how the establishment treats their employees. I'm pretty picky about my massages and every time I find someone who Is better then average, they leave. Everyone left, is just average unfortunately

Thomas is very knowledgeable and told me he would be doing some yoga type stretching however it was done before he actually started the massage so it took up a considerable amount of my 80 minute massage. I did not get a true 80 massage. I appreciated his knowledge and the stretching but it could have been done during the actual massage. He did not use hot towels before my massage, which most therapists do to warm my very tight areas.

The aesthetician seemed more interested in selling products and trying to get me to book a facial when actually she did one for me, and I had a horrible reaction to it. Also I left sticky from the "wax" and she forgot to put the stuff on after and ithe bikini line is uneven :( hard to see with a hand mirror.

They had no music!! Massage places should always have calming meditation music. Also my family member was charged a $10 transfer fee for my massage- rediculous . Also the charge for an " upgrade " of oil scents for $10 for a $100 massage !! Rip off . That should be at no charge to a customer. Every spa I have been too that's a given and ALWAYS 1 hour . You guys do 50 minutes at about $100 lol and charge for a different scent . Would only come back for a facial maybe

I was very happy. I didn't have a preference on some of the questions that's all

The treatment room seems crowded. I would like some music options for individual suites (e.g., have ocean waves). It would be nicer if the estheticians had color options in their uniforms.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the professionals - Nicky and Dante. My only issue is that I was booked for extras that I did not understand. Over the phone I booked an 80 minute massage with hot stones and a facial. I learned later that I had a foot massage extra (within the massage) and a scalp massage extra (within the facial). I enjoyed those services but didn't request them and don't think it fair to ask me to pay four visits for them. I discussed this with the receptionist but am unsure of whether or not they ended up charging me the three (reasonable in my book) or the four (not reasonable). I was there two and a half hours. If someone could please follow up to confirm that I was charged three, not four of my member visits, I would appreciate it.

I went to get my deep tissue massage at the Severna Park, MD location at 12PM on March 1, 2017. The moment I entered, it brought a warm, relaxing ambiance. Very clean, displays looked attractive, it had me looking at the products. The receptionist was very sweet and professional, answered all my questions appropriately. Thomas, the massage therapist was great, he explained and accommodated to my massage preference. I joined the membership after the first visit that day.

Not very relaxing or "spa-like"; technician never inquired as to comfort with music level, warmth of "bed", temperature of towels, etc. Did not explain what was included-what she was using. Very cut and dry experience. Sales pitch at end to get the monthly program to the extent they questioned why I didn't want it (frankly the "discount" price is what I would anticipate for the regular cost). One woman at checkout was just inexperienced-unsure of price of massage I had received; the other was just unfriendly. This experience is more to feel "pampered" and relaxed than anything. No feeling of pampering-especially once finished. Staff is not very friendly or welcoming.

The staff that was working at the front desk during my visit need training. They were not very knowledgeable about the products and services that Hand and Stone offers. I brought two of my friends in for the first time and it was not a good first impression. Every time a question was asked the answer was no. Then the manager would yes we can do this and explain how.
