I have been to hand and stone a lot, mainly in the GR location and have loved it. This time was decent. I think I didn’t like the gloves she wore (it was weird on my face) and just certain details about the facial was off. The steamer was too close to my face the entire time and the neck massage was a little off. I think this was just due to lack of experience but it was still enjoyable.

The esthetician wasn't ready for my appointment and I had to wait a few minutes while she prepared the room. Usually that wouldn't bother me but I had booked a massage prior to this appointment so it was irritating that it interrupted my spa day. Pro: She was very nice and seemed knowledgeable about her trade and the products. Con: She seemed a little rushed. She did a good job but I found myself not completely satisfied with the whole experience after I left. When I booked my next facial, I booked with another esthetically.

Being satisfied is fine. Does one need to be highly satisfied all the time? The appointment/services met my expectations. I think the services are perhaps overly expensive.

The availability of deep tissue massage appointments that fit my schedule (I work M-F 8-5) is challenging. I have to book over a month in advance, and then I've had calls from the spa at the last minute to cancel my appointment (on three different occasions) because a massage therapist wasn't working on the day I was scheduled....then I have to wait another month to get in. I've considered cancelling my membership, but I'm giving it one more shot for the rest of this calendar year. I BSOLUTELY enjoy the massages, and save for one experience (my first), the quality of the massage therapists has been excellent.

In the Check out the person was extremely pushy that I needed to give a $16 to $20 tip. It was the first time I heard something like that. And the massage was not good. I will come back for facials with Avery , but I am considering ending my membership.

When I was offered reflexology I was not told it was an upcharge service until after my foot massage.

I booked a hot stone massage with aromatherapy. Without discussion with my therapist, I was given a deep tissue massage. This was maybe more therapeutic but less relaxing than what I had hoped for. I kept waiting for the hot stones or the aromatherapy and then all of a sudden it was over. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk at checkout they said “oh, we’ll just change the service booking”. But I didn’t receive what I wanted and that kind of sucked as this was a birthday gift that I wouldn’t typically splurge for.

The therapist (Rene) cut the one-hour message by about 15mins. This is problematic. He is nice and all but I would have appreciated the full service and better techniques vs ambiance and friendliness.

The experience was great, but I didn’t leave thinking this was the greatest massage ever (which is okay!) The masseuse seemed very knowledgable and helpful, and really listened to my needs - he was great! As far as the massage, I feel like it could’ve been a bit more effective in relieving pain. The massage and experience was still great.

I felt that April, who gave my facial, could have been a little more gentle while giving the facial. Rubbing off with the towel was a little too rough and hurt slightly. Also her hands could be slightly warmed/moisturized before touching facial skin as it felt cold and scratchy to the touch.
