This visit was typical for my experiences at Hand and Stone. It was a satisfying visit, but nothing above and beyond to make it a "highly satisfying" experience.

Booking an appt and signing up for the membership took 30 min, between two receptionists. The first one was not knowledgeable at all and wasn't attentive to my needs based on the questions I was asking. She put me on hold multiple times to ask someone else for clarification in order to answer my questions, Finally, Natalie (?) got on the phone and was very helpful and friendly.

This was my first facial. I had no idea what to expect. When I shared this with technician she asked what I wanted from this appointment and I said I didn't know. She didn't give me any options or explain process or educate me in any way about facials.

$ 90 for 50 minutes is above scale for anywhere except resorts. I do want a 60 minute massage of 90. Basically you charge for undress/dress and often time is wasted with "light touch".

I believe the cost of the service is more than it is worth and I do not like feeling pressured to purchase products after my apt.

That is the first time that I had a massage that I was in pain for 2 days following. Cayla was good and worked on the areas that were sore, but her pressure bruised me. I love a deep tissue massage but I think she uses too much pressure. I should have told her to lighten up, so I guess that would be my fault.

Good experience, but when I booked online it did not state that the service I picked was an enhancement. So I had to pay an additional $20 on top what I pay monthly, plus tip. Wish I had known that prior to booking the service. But the desk did apply a coupon so that was helpful.

The wax left my skin irritated and red, more so than usual

The people I've interacted with in my local spa are lovely. However, there does seem to be a discrepancy between the website and the in-person experience. For example, I signed up for a $59.95 massage, but I was charged my monthly $69.95 for it.

I would have preferred my provider not talk as much during the appointment. She was educating me on products yada yada but I wanted to relax and have minimal talking.
