The experience was very pleasant. The receptionist and the therapist were wonderful. The booking process was not organized. I requested an appointment online. Then received a follow-up call. Booked a massage on the call, then received a confirmation for a different time to my email address. Then was asked to shift my appointment the day-of to a later time. It would be SO much easier to be able to book online, and have a confirmation email sent immediately after. Lastly, the cost is EXORBITANT. I received 25% off from an email offer, and the 50-minute massage came out to $90. My jaw visibly dropped. I couldn't help it. That is insane for this area. While my massage was good and the experience was pleasant, it was nowhere near the best massage of my life. For that kind of money, I would need to be almost ready to offer up my firstborn to continue coming here. It's just not competitive. Even member pricing is still higher than close competitors in the area. I have a gift card, but will not be returning after that is used.

If I say I was satisfied, then the service must meet a higher standard.

I was visiting Ann Arbor on business and was pleased that I could get in right away. I didn't really enjoy the cold stone face massage though. Not because the service wasn't provided properly, I just didn't realize it used cold stones. Otherwise, it was great! Thanks!

I was satisfied with my experience at Hand and Stone. The only suggestion that I would give would be the talking of the therapist. During my massage, there was a lot of chatter and I wasn't sure how to ask them to reduce that. It was good other than that.

All was great but did have terrible allergic reaction to the cream/oil later that night. Hives and had to take a bath to remove all. My masseuse offered to towel off, but didn't think it was necessary since it felt nice at the time. Not sure I will be able to return for a massage, but partner who came with me, same time, enjoyed his massage and had no allergic reactions like me. He will be returning.

It was my first visit - satisfied is a good rating in my opinion. If I receive good service on multiple consecutive visits - I would form an overall opinion and possibly raise to highly satisfied.

poor explanation that that added services were included in the 1 hour massage, not add on for extra 10-15 minutes. Massage therapist felt rushed and was not able to do the best job he was capable of doing. He profusely apologized for the miscommunication. the front desk, did not followup with the apology. In fact, it was a hard sell to purchase a membership. so sorry, not interested in returning.

For some “extras,” I wasn’t told the cost ahead of time.

Overall, I've had great experiences at Hand & Stone. For this 10am appointment the massage therapist didn't get me from the lobby until 10:08, but my massage ended at 10:58. I would have liked those extra minutes of massage!
