Overall the massage was good. The therapist spoke too much at the beginning, but was quiet for the majority of the massage. I was somewhat surprised and disappointed that the therapist did not respect physical boundaries as requested at appointment intake. I requested no contact with my feet due to a recent foot fracture that was still healing and somewhat tender. The therapist did not fully massage my feet and left them alone for the most part, but at the end of the massage she gently massaged them even though I had requested no contact on several occasions. I was just surprised and disappointed that she seemed to push clearly stated physical boundaries (I wrote on the intake sheet that I wanted the area avoided and even told her in person). I've had several massages before and always had my physical boundaries respected - this was a first for me.

I felt like I was pushed to choose products from one line there and encouraged to give up all the products I had at home. This isn't a responsible fiscal or sustainable choice. I think its presumptive to assume anything about my regimen after only 50 minutes with my skin- especially for a woman, when her cycle impacts your skin so much at times.

First time here. Will probably rate higher when I return for my next facial. Will use same person for service. I felt the spa was very attentive.

I had a breakout of hives with products. Therapist was exceptional, but either massage oil for body or pepperment oil used for scalp massage caused allergic reaction of hives on several areas of my body. One of the areas was a welt that was 1 inch by 4 inches wide. Raised and red.

The person working as receptionist was not attentive and was not at the front desk when i arrived. She did not say hello, offer any water or refreshments and only seemed to be engaged if you were new or attempting to book an appt. This was a first bad experience for me here and I am saddened by the level of service I received.

I believe that I was quite satisfied with my experience at Hand and Stone. If the service was an 1 1/2 for the cost, then I believe I would rate the experience as Highly Satisfied. Overall satisfaction was very positive.

I was satisfied. My therapist had a different technique then I was used to. It was effective so I think he did a good job, but was not what I was expecting. I have been to this location twice. I had two different therapist. Both very capable, and both very chatty. I don't want to have a conversation, and I don't want to be rude. If I had either of those therapist again, I would be delighted. It's wasn't something overwhelming . But I'm not there for conversation.
