I was taken back to the room late, but was still done the appointment on time. When I pay for an hour I expect to receive service for the amount of time I pay for, not the slot given to me.

I've had better--when a deep tissue massage somehow more gently stretched tight and "untangled" knots without pain. At Hand & Stone, although the therapist works hard and attentively, it feels more as if the lesson is followed on a sample rather than applying knowledge to my particular case. Better than some lightweight, bashful therapists, but not feeling that this is an experienced application.

Although I first requested "firm" pressure, I asked her to use less pressure partway through the appointment. She did ease up a little, but did not request further feedback and as the appointment continued it felt as if the amount of pressure used again increased. Today my upper back and shoulders feel bruised (they are not, though) and are very sore. I take some of the responsibility for this as I did not speak up sooner or again when I still felt the pressure was too much.

I received satisfactory services. I wasn't happy with the booking receptionist not fully describing the service I was getting. I normally get deep tissue massage, but was booked for swedish massage instead.

Therapist did not seem to change pressure even after seeing that I was uncomfortable with the pressure of the massage.

I hate the music. I would love more soothing "spa" music. It more jazzy.

I really do like the services, I feel that if you have been a member you should be offered more perks. I also think that A 50 MINUTE massage that does not start right on time turns into a 45 minute massage. I also do not like to talk while I am getting my massage so that should be an option listed on the form, so that it is not awkward for either the therapist or the patron. I will sometimes engage to be polite, but it is overall my preference to take that time to relax. I speak with people all day. I am not paying to speaking with people while I am trying to relax.

I did not feel as if I received the same level of treatment for this facial as I have in the past. There were not as many masks or peels as I had had previously and I felt as if this effected my resulting skin. I did not have as noticeable a difference in skin tone and breakouts as I did with my previous visit.

Nothing was wrong with this visit. But compared to the previous two therapists I have seen at this particular location, there was not the same level of comfort. So the massage was okay. But not great like it typically is!
