Hand and Stone

I have been a loyal customer of Hand and Stone for many years. I live close to your Leaside location and I absolutely love it there. I frequently book appointments with Kazi and he is outstanding. The receptionists are very friendly and answer the phone quickly. There are 2 recent problems I wanted to mention: 1) I was asked by three different people to update my credit card information after it was already updated. 2) I was asked to fill out a yearly form at my recent appointment. I understand this is protocol. The first question on the survey asks if am vaccinated against Covid-19. I had no issue doing the health/symptom check-in as was asked on the form or even a temperature check if that was required. But I did not have an option on the survey that "I prefer not to disclose" my vaccination status. I do not believe this information is relevant or needs to be shared with Hand and Stone. I strongly urge you to adjust this survey moving forward as it is ridiculous to have to divulge information like this. I don't recall ever being asked by Hand and Stone if I have been vaccinated against anything else in my lifetime. Please escalate this comment to head office.

I was experiencing low back and hip pain that was not improving. My massage provided some relief and general improvement.

Experienced therapist (Chris). Hit all the right spots with the right pressure.

The staff at the front counter were very helpful and worked together as a team. My esthetician is fantastic. She is friendly, knowledgeable and helps me understand what she's doing, and the benefits to me.

For the first time ever the therapist's treatment actually relieved the pain i was experiencing. he spent more time on the area than others had in the past. it was a little painful, but that is what was needed to break down the knots or whatever was going on in my back left hip. the treatment was purposeful and effective. I think he is a relatively new therapist [Martin? Marvin?] but he did an amazing job. Highly recommend.

Massage Therapist is very knowledgeable and great at his job.

I like a lot of the rmts at this location but tried someone new because I had limited availability for an appointment. Francis was amazing.so knowledgeable, and really helped with my neck issues!

My massages here with Ali are always fabulous and just as I expect. He spends time listening and working on my problem areas. He also respects my need for ‘quiet’ and I appreciate the down time without the awkward pressure to have to ‘entertain’ my therapist. Ali is a true professional who gives a great massage!
