It was due to the room being in the basement but it had a slight musty odour and was cold which meant they had to run a heater which was kind of noisy. My masseuse was phenomenal though so it made up for it.

I felt that the massage therapist focussed on one area I identified very well (neck). She spent lots of time on that. But I felt she didn’t spend as much time on my low back, which I had also identified as tight.

I was highly satisfied! I thought I clicked that option my bad! The experience was great.

The massage therapist asked too many personal questions.

There was a $20 extra charge for deep cleaning but the esthetician was not able to tell me what exactly this extra charge was for and just said products. There was no clear line of what was added to the service from a regular service to value the additional $20. She was fantastic at her job but will not ever add anything to a service again unless I know the breakdown before.

My gift certificate was not honoured even tho it said it didn’t have an expiration date. The reason given was that it was purchased at the Thornhill store and I was using it at Avenue Rd location. When I booked, I said I had a gift certificate, but they didn’t ask to see it when I arrived. I wouldn’t have gone for a massage if I had known it wouldn’t be honoured.

Had to move to another room for a specific services

I have had massages at other spas which were more luxurious in their settings, music, etc.. The fact that there was not change room, I simply changed in the massage room contributed to my rating. The therapist talked a lot. He wanted to assure me he knew what he was doing, and then whey I told him what my physio therapist had done in the past he challenged that and said he was both a massage and physio therapist.

He told me for $20 he’d give me an extra 10 minutes it was only an extra five minutes. The room was cold. And I have woken up in excruciating pain my neck shoulders and back I can’t even move very unimpressed he kept repeating the same massage movements never used his hands once only his arms and elbows just an awful experience that’s why I didn’t give him a tip
