I have built up many massages during covid and paid for them because I felt bad for service industry workers. However it's become nearly impossible for me to pause and use up so many of the massages I've banked up and when I ask to pause the membership they give me a really hard time.

There was an issue with me being overcharged when signing up for the membership. I’ve still yet to be refunded and the associate forgot to give me the $20 gift card that was a promotion going so I had to go back for it which sucked. Otherwise, the esthetician was wonderful and did an amazing job!

I am not pleased about the rate increase in member pricing (I wanted to reactivate my husband and my memberships, but decided not to), and my therapist was a little shaky at certain points during the massage, which made me uncomfortable and unable to relax. Also, it was challenging to get in as I had to call every day for a week before there was an opening.

The only location in Denver that still requires masks, which is fine—-but one of the staff was not wearing a mask. Girl behind the desk asked me if I had one, so I asked if that staff member who didn’t even have it on her body had one and was responded to rudely. She said “uh…NOT WHEN IM DRINKING WATER” as she was filling up a water cup and then just texting in the corner. It wasn’t like she pulled her mask down to drink her water…she literally didn’t even have a mask with her and responded this way.

I didn't like that the cost of membership increased and I wasn't made aware of it. I also felt like my therapist spent too long on the same area of my neck - I would estimate about 5 minutes on each side of my neck doing the same thing. It felt nice at the start, but I didn't really want 10% of my massage time spent in this way on the exact same motion.

Did not like that I was asked if I wanted my massage therapist to wear a mask and when I said sure the receptionist responded that if I wanted him to wear one, I had to wear one too. It felt like I was being retaliated against for saying yes to a question I was asked. They saw my vaccination status, I did not see the therapists so why would you turn around and say I now have to wear one when a minute prior it was okay that I didn't?

I'm very happy with the care I received yesterday at the Hand and Stone spa. I would definitely go back for a facial and try some of the other services you offer if I lived here but I don't.
