In the past few years, Murphy has gone from the most economically priced gas, in this area, to among the highest priced gasoline brands. Since you built your new gas station, in the area, it seems that you are trying to pay for the cost of this construction in a few years time by charging much higher gas prices. Good luck w/ that tactic. Also, your new gas station has fewer pumps than the old one did and this causes longer car lines waiting for an open pump.

Just over 100 miles away from this location, we paid $.16 per gallon LESS for gasoline at a Murphy outlet. We do not understand this at all. On a 10 gallon purchase, this is a higher cost of $1.60 on a similar fill-up. For many people this would not make a big difference, but to retired people on fixed income, this is a BIG deal. Consistency would be greatly appreciated.

It took me a whole week to find an opening at a pump to gas up my van. The 1st week the lines were so long that I skipped gassing up my vehicle that week. The next week I was still frozen out of a fueling spot. I went shopping at Walmart 1st & then I found one opening that I quickly zipped into to gas up. The old setup of gas pumps at this location had more pumps than this new one has & no traffic jams. Bad move! If this jam up of vehicles at your pumps continues, I may soon be patronizing a different gas distributor in the area, since more & more of your competition sells gas as cheaply as you do.

The price of fuel is NOT competitive. Were it not for the fact that we shop at Wal Mart, we would buy ours elsewhere. It is 3 to 5 cents per gallon less in our small town of 2,000 compared to this place.

Gas in Batesville, AR is always higher than any other city in the area and it is very aggravating.

We do not understand why the price of fuel continues to rise especially right around the holidays. We hear all the HYPE about the changing of fuel for summer/winter, but it is amazing that this cost always seems to occur around the times that people are visiting relatives, going vacations, etc. We expect that a lot of people believe this, but we choose not to do so. The difference in price from one locale to another is puzzling as well. With only a 50 miles or less difference in driving, there can be a difference of $.05 to $.10 per gallon. This is astounding. If fuel corporations, such as yours, make money on gasoline at $1.59 a gallon as in recent months, how much more is being made at $.50 more per gallon now! The fuel that was in the refinery process then is being pumped now, I'd say. We're "over the barrel" and we know it! We just wish for honesty all the way around.

They have reduced the number of pumps and made it very tight to get around.

When we were ready for fuel, the light that flashed was for the non-ethanol fuel. We use the other for our vehicle. Don't understand why this light flashed. We worked it out because no one was available. Also, when the station was remodeled, it went from two rest rooms to one. This particular one is seldom available. Why did the other system need changing?
