Embassy Suites San Marcos - Hotel, Spa & Conference Center

The hotel was very nice and so were the staff. I had a great time with my conference and look forward to coming back in nov.

The place wasn't as clean as it normally is. There were crickets in the rooms and hallways.

The staff did not communicate very well with each other. The pool was closed temporarily and when I went there with my daughter at 8am I was told it would be another 30 minutes. Went back at 9 and was told by a different staff member it would be ready at noon. Called the desk at noon and a different staff member said it would be ready at 12:30. Went down there at 1 and it still wasn't ready. Each time we went, I had to walk away with an extremely upset toddler who had been looking forward to swimming all week. So even though it may have been an "inconvenience" for other customers, it ruined my daughter's entire day, which in turn ruined my entire day.

We enjoyed our stay at Embassy Suites. It was clean and the staff was friendly.

Great hotl and conference center

This hotel was a good location for our TexTESOL State conference, as it had meeting rooms to accommodate the training sessions, however the room rate for this hotel was excessive; many potential participants chose to stay at other hotels that school teachers could better afford on our tight budgets. How unfortunate! We would have preferred accommodations at a fair price. The conference fee was over $200; the room rate at Embassy made the trip impossible for colleagues. Sad!
