Hampton Inn & Suites Pocatello

On the morning after my first night, I asked if I could have a room at the front of the hotel overlooking the mountains since we don't have them where I am from. I was advised that there was an opening the next day, so I woke up early the next morning to pack my items and the front desk said they'd stay there until my room is ready. I went to work and returned to the hotel to get my new room key as promised. I was told, "we are booked." No one offered to try again, just gave me to knew key to my old room. The last night of my visit, just before 2am (I wake up at 5am for my flight) someone was trying to forcefully get into my room (luckily the slide lock stopped him. I saw the hall lighting with each bang. The front desk man gave me a story about it that was obviously false so I was scared for my safety. I cannot believe that it would be corporate policy to have a random man give a name that according to Jase at the front desk was "close" to the name of a woman who was staying by herself. He didn't call, just let the man into my room! I will never recommend a hotel like this that disregards the safety of a woman alone in her room.I called the corporate number and Rebecca Cruz in the Phillipines told me to call back at 9am, even though I repeatedly told her that I feared for my safety. The only bright spot is that I called Lori in another Idaho Hampton location and she was very nice! She investigated the incident and has offered continuous support as I have been scared, unable to sleep. She is amazing, but the behavior of the employees at this location is unacceptable.
