The massage therapist's pressure and effort to help with the pain in troubling areas was superb.

Front desk staff was very nice and professional. Their explanation about the membership made me sign up.

My favorite massage provider is Escape Day Spa in West Nashville. They have large changing rooms with lockers, robes, rubber massage slippers, shower area and luxury towels. They also have several tranquil areas with lounge chairs to wait for your massage therapist after changing. There are flavored waters to choose from while you wait. I was expecting something similar at Hand and Stone so it was a bit abrupt to be led from the sales/reception area to the massage room and expected to change there. We had a couples massage and there was some light (and awkward) banter at the beginning about the rain. I prefer a masseuse does not initiate conversation unless it's specifically about the massage. The less said the better. It was only a few a sentences so not a big deal but worth mentioning. Otherwise, they were excellent. I will ask for my same masseuse again.

My therapist was friendly. My therapist was knowledgeable and listened to where I needed the most attention. The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable.

I would appreciate some advice about how to achieve lasting effects between appointments. Each therapeutic session tends to be more uncomfortable due to working out 'knots' than pleasant and relaxing.

I've had a membership with Hand and Stone Massage for a few months now. For the most part, I've had a great experience. However, the last massage I was disappointed about how unorganized they facility was. On Dec 4th I was scheduled for a massage, unfortunately, earlier that evening my water heater broke and had to reschedule. The receptionist didn't penalize for last less than 24hrs since this was my 1st cancellation and I had an emergency to tend. We scheduled the appt for Dec. 8th. I come in for my appt on the 8th and I wasn't on the schedule. I was extremely disappointed especially after the week I had. The receptionist upgraded my massage due to mess up. I had to move my appt one more time due it being the holidays and when I moved I wanted to confirm my upgrade and the receptionist said there was no record. However, she added the notes to my file. When I completed my massage on Dec 14th and was getting ready to leave a tip. The receptionist was about to charge me for the upgrade I had. I had to re-tell the whole story since she mentioned there were no notes in my file. I was disappointed about repeating myself multiple times.

Tried the salt stones during the message. Not a good value or use of the therapists time. Took away from a normally decent massage.

While my therapist did a good job I had asked that one of the other members in my party get the male massuce. He was professional and did an excellent job I just prefer a female.
