Hand and Stone

I purchased a gift certificate that was buy one get one free. I was able to find the price of a facial to be $59 but when I went to purchase the gift card I was charged $99 and there was no explanation given for why it was so much more expensive than the online price. I wasn’t even sure what was included in a standard facial so when the offers to upgrade my experience were given it was difficult to make a decision to what was or wasn’t going to be actually different than expected.

Came in with my husband for a couples massage and my husband’s massage did not meet his expectations for muscle therapy and muscle relaxation. The masseuse was not the right match for him. The manager contacted me to address the concern and made things right. We look forward to coming back and trying a couples massage again.

The appt was late 10-15 mins which I was on an important call, but then when the therapist came out to get me she was annoyed and made faces to coworkers that I didn’t get off right away. I was on the phone approx 3 mins after she came out. I felt uncomfortable with her demeanor. I also chose the CBD oil addition to the massage and the therapist was upset that the receptionist didn’t have me sign the appropriate forms or explain it. The therapist was very abrupt and annoyed regarding this. The entire massage was very choppy and did not have the fluid motion and relaxation I have experienced in previous Hand and Stone Massages. I will continue to come to Hand and Stone, but will request other staff.

The massage room was slightly chilly. Massage oil left on my skin was a lot and greasy.

When I checked in, I requested CBD oil to be added to the service. Somehow it was misplaced with the hot stone massage and I never received a hot stone massage as requested.

Former facial experience was a disaster that burned my face and skin and when I escalated it to management they should have credited me back along with rectifying the issue. The massages are mostly great though here.

I never rate an experience high based on one visit if I plan to return. I also did not spend time in the reception area nor did I look at any products.

Did not include the aroma therapy requested

I would prefer a deeper tissue massage. My specific areas of pain were not addressed with enough time to relieve my pain. Overall it’s a good massage, just not the best, but appropriate for the cost.
