Hand and Stone

Some confusion at the front with a facial and being pregnant. Otherwise all was good.

The massage is scheduled for 50 minutes, but the actual massage time is less. I go into the room on time, but it is 4-5 minutes before the therapist comes back in, but she still ends at the 50 minute mark. In the past, I also felt I was led into scheduling a more expensive massage because of the online options.

My only 2 complaints would be that (1) the therapist seemed somewhat new and (2) that my appointment was for 11 and started at 11:15

The wax was not working correctly. Although I ultimately was not charged for the waxing services, most of my hair was not removed. That whole part was a waste of time.

I have been a member at H&S for over a year and am mostly satisfied. I am however dissatisfied with the amount of sales pressure that happens and H&S and I'm surprised that some of the upgrades cost an additional fee. I have found scheduling with specific therapists to be increasingly difficult. Finally, I love the idea of online booking, however, the system NEVER works. It also feels a little unethical that additional points are advertised for booking online, but then the system doesn't work. Otherwise, I have some great therapists at H&S who have really helped me and I appreciate that H&S has flexible hours and evening appointments. I had to leave my previous office when I started a new job and my schedule became much more strict.

I don’t like the hard-sell on memberships. That happened the first time I visited as soon as I came out from my relaxing spa treatment and somebody aggressively tried to sell me something. Not the right approach for a the completion of a relaxing experience. The second time I went somehow I accidentally signed up for a membership that I know I would never have intentionally signed up for. I don’t trust you guys because of your membership Hard sell. I only came back in order to use up the credits that I had earned during my unintentional membership.

To receive a highly satisfied rating, everything must be superb. The appointment before me ran a little late which is fine & the therapist acknowledged & apologized for. I understand this happens, hence the satisfied rating.

All was well, the reason that I Would not recommend this particular location is because I do not have family and friends that live near. I would recommend Hand and Stone as a provider for massage and facials.

I really like the spa and staff. The only thing was during my facial while my mask was on, the aesthetician was doing things in background. The last time I had facial, at another H&S location, I was given choice of scalp, hand or foot massage. There was no extra charge and it was infinitely more relaxing.
