Hand and Stone

The massage therapist, Alexia, wore headphones during my massage and I could hear the noise coming from them. This prevented me from relaxing as I was focused on the noise coming from her headphones.

I believe my therapist was new because she was a little passive, quiet and ended my massage early. Assuming she still has some things to work on.

Having to wear a mask during the massage ( i know it’s required for safety reasons due to covid).

Megan is an excellent massage therapist. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She knows how to make you feel relaxed and relieve any aches or pains. I prefer her over anyone else at the Middletown location. H&S used to give water after the massage. With COVID-19, i understand you are trying to be safe, however, you should at least give out miniature water bottles for guests to leave with to encourage drinking water after the massage. That would be a nice touch for guests especially members.

My massage itself was very good. I felt my therapist left in a bit of a hurry.

I booked my appointment with Jimmy. The day before the appointment, I received a call saying that my appointment was with Enrique and he was not going to be available so I would have to have Beverly. I had to ask for the manager (Amber) who moved my appointment by to Jimmy.

I paid extra for deep tissue and did not feel that I got deep tissue. The therapist did work extra on a problem area, but the rest of the massage was not deep tissue. Also, the level of all therapists does not seem to be very high. I've had much better massages over the years at other Hand and Stones. I use to to to H&S in Delran and Marlton, NJ when I lived there. Probably because of the location, they had much more experienced massage therapists.
