My appointment was scheduled for Sunday, after my initial appointment in February had to be rescheduled due to a "scheduling issue". Upon arrival, I was told that my therapist was male, although I had confirmed twice I only wanted a female. Thankfully, the issue was resolved and Joy did a phenomenal job. Will be back, requesting Joy specifically!

NEED MORE TIME ON FOCUS AREA

I had a good experience, but I would like the monthly price to be lower. The service that I get is consistently good. The value would be better if the membership were slightly cheaper or if we got more rewards.

Only things that I would like to mention: All my facials have always included extractions. After the appointment I asked the esthetician if extractions are or are not included in their facials, and she told me that she usually only does it if a client asks for it or if I had mentioned it as a concern. I didn't ask or mentioned it, as all the other spa's I've ever been to have just done it as part of their facials. So, that was disappointing to me. Secondly, maybe a small recommendation: I've been to salons where the esthetician hands you a small mirror for you to see your face after the facial, and gives a brief, and I mean 30seconds probably, synopses of what she's done and hoping to achieve and giving you the good and the bad about your skin. This can go hand in hand with the products that they are trying to sell you, so you know exactly where it will be used and for what. My two cents. In general, I liked the spa and will recommend it.

there was still residue from the mask used during the facial. I had to wipe it off and clean it off my face with water when I got home thus wasting the other products applied after the mask.

I had a great experience at Hand and Stone, except for the amount of sales-talk I encountered near the end. My facial aesthetician was clearly trying to get me to buy the products, despite my lukewarm reception to her bringing them up earlier in our session. Then, as I was checking out, I was hit with a barrage of information about membership and how it worked. I respectfully tried to say that I frequently saw another masseuse, but the hint was not taken. This interaction definitely brought down my relaxation levels, and now I'm not sure whether I'll be back. If I send anyone your way, it will be with the caveat: "They do wonderful work, but be prepared that they'll be pushy about the membership stuff."

I came in for my appointment 15 ahead of Time the receptionist was alone and on the phone and was unable to greet me. After several minutes I was checked in. But somehow my appointment didn’t start till 10 mins after. Then I was also shorted to make up time. My appt was at 2 I started at 210 but finished by 303. The led light cord needed had to be waited on from another room. And the light selection was not really discribe to me on the why behind the color picked. Also I booked a special price of $79 for the facial and led but was charged $59 for facial and $40 for led. When I asked the manager said she would waive the led fee because I waited. This is not the first time I felt like my message or facial wasn’t the full hour. Or more if you ask for additional services. It seems as if I add additional paid for services is is crammed into the 60 mins instead of adding time to it. Which makes me feel like there is no need to spend more money on add ons. The staff is always nice but it doesn’t always feel like we are not being heard in and out like cattle to make the most of. The hour sessions.

This is my 2nd massage at Hand & Stone with 2 different therapists. Both gave same massage even tho I specifically asked for more attention to my back/shoulders. Just wondering if they are able to do a different routine or if all are required to do the same massage.

I was stuck in traffic getting to my appointment so I called the store to let them know and they said it wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived, I waited at least 5 minutes for the technician. The massage started at 3:15 (I looked at the stopwatch) and ended at 4pm, so I didn't receive my full 50 minutes. Had the technician seen me as soon as I had arrived, I would have been able to still have the full 50 minutes. The massage was still excellent but I was upset I didn't receive the full 50 minutes.
