My girlfriend went to the gas station located at 2094 N Il Route 50 Bourbonnais Illinois 60914 at 13:43:12 on 1/30/18, she purchased a pack of cigarettes with a debit card, she asked the cashier t put the balance in cash and on card, it was entirely put on the card, which will cost us a $34 fee, hence us asking to split it. When she asked if it could be refunded the cashier slid her the cigarettes and receipt, my girlfriend didn't accept it. Upon asking again for a refund the cashier said she had to take the customer behind my girlfriend, there was no other customer; so she said she would call her manager to ask how to handle this type of issue. She then came back and told my girlfriend the manager said that she can't issue refunds. I question how well this employee as well as the manager were trained, if neither the cashier or manager know how to process refunds. I'm extremely upset and though a frequent patron(I work very near the gas station) I will likely not be shopping at Murphy Express for a bit of time unless this is promptly resolved. There was no customer service number and I'll be emailing the address listed with the same information.
