Homewood Suites by Hilton St. Louis Riverport- Airport West

Our favorite place to stay when attending a concert at the amphitheater. Shuttle service is great - especially the driver, Sharon. Nice breakfast. Rooms are very clean and spacious.

We always stay at a Homewood suites because we like the breakfast, the rooms are always large and clean and we never have a complaint. BUT on this particular stay we were not happy. The room was clean and breakfast was good but the staff that took my inquires over the phone and at the front desk were terrible. First off we made reservations asking for 2 conjoined suites, we were told it wouldn't be a problem at all. When we checked in they simply said we needed to check in earlier to get the conjoined room. Then upon checking in we asked if we could pay cash when we checkout, once again was told we could and it wouldn't be a problem, by upon checking we were told the card we held the room with was already charged earlier in that morning and we weren't even given a chance to pay with cash. I don't like when a business tells me one thing and then goes back on their word. We will be staying at other Homewood suites next time.

staff missed a few things when cleaning

On two instances they assured us of our having a conjoined room and would be allowed to pay with cash and they didn't let either happen.
